According to a new game leak, LEGO Fortnite players will have powerful weaponry to wield soon.

LEGO Fortnite just upped the ante for its PvE gameplay mechanics with a line of upcoming powerful weapons that are reportedly in development.
LEGO Fortnite made good headway when it launched on Dec. 7, immediately well received as a merging of two wildly successful game franchises. The game holds its own against competitors Roblox and Minecraft, and while LEGO Fortnite evidently targets the younger demographic of players, its tie-in to the massive multiplayer survival shooter makes it just as appealing to mature gamers. LEGO Fortnite‘s co-developers Epic Games and The Lego Group still implemented strict in-game features that ensure fun and safe gameplay for kids, and now, FN Assist’s X account just released a few more.
With millions of players already roaming the LEGO Fortnite landscape, the game can only benefit from increasingly challenging environments and enemies. And if the recently leaked weapons are to be believed, the game’s prospects in terms of replay value look promising. A series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) previewed new weapons in development for the game: a bow, stud gun and gravity gun may be staple fare for some players, but it does make PvE gameplay much more interesting. The teased arsenal was part of game development details obtained from a datamine leak.
Powerful New Weapons for PvE
The Gravity Gun is likely the most powerful item of the lot, and it functions like the overused weapon from the Half-life series. “Grab things and throw them at other things!” pretty much sums up the Gravity Gun’s features, though it isn’t revealed (yet) how OP this weapon is going to be. LEGO Fortnite also expands its line of ranged weapons with the Stud Gun, a “fully Automatic, flexible assault rifle capable of handling all types of combat scenarios.” It’s not yet clear if this gun’s ammo clip is depletable or infinite. A new “BaseBow” weapon was also teased, likely a more powerful variant of the Crossbow but with a slower reload and launch rate.
It’s unclear when the weapons will be added to the game, if ever at all. The versions previewed in the leak could just as easily have been scrapped or merely used for testing but considering the staple fare of features in the descriptions, there’s a chance LEGO Fortnite will roll out versions of these guns eventually. Some of these weapons may also be available in different rarities, such as the Gravity Gun, which will reportedly have Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants. Unlike the wildly varied arsenal players can wield in Fortnite, LEGO Fortnite only offer axes, pickaxes, swords, and crossbows at the moment, so the addition of modern and futuristic weapons will drastically impact the game’s mechanics.
LEGO Fortnite is free to download from the Epic Games store (for Windows PC), and the dedicated console stores for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X, and the Nintendo Switch.
