Xbox Game Pass Subscribers Should Be Excited for October 25

Games Gaming News

Microsoft suddenly gives Xbox Game Pass subscribers good reason to be excited for this coming Wednesday, October 25.

Microsoft has officially announced an Xbox Partner Preview event for Wednesday, October 25 that will include new information on upcoming Xbox Game Pass titles. Microsoft has worked hard to ensure that there is a constant stream of new games coming to Xbox Game Pass. New titles are added to the popular subscription service multiple times per month, with more games set to debut before October 2023 is out.

Xbox Game Pass has seen some major new additions in October 2023, with the month headlined by first-party Xbox racing game Forza Motorsport. There are still some more new Xbox Game Pass games to look forward to in October 2023, with Cities: Skylines 2 coming to PC Game Pass on October 24, Dead Space joining the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup on October 26, Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery and Mineko’s Night Market joining Game Pass on October 26, and both Headbangers: Rhythm Royale and Jusant dropping on October 31.

Clearly, Thursday, October 26 will be an especially big day for Game Pass subscribers, but there’s reason to be excited for Wednesday, October 25 as well. On October 25, Microsoft will be hosting a new kind of broadcast event called Xbox Partner Preview, which will focus on updates from third-party publishers who have games coming to Xbox. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, Remedy Entertainment, and Ark developer Studio Wildcard are all confirmed for the event, which will include more than 20 minutes of new trailers and gameplay footage. Microsoft has promised “new info on some upcoming Game Pass titles” during the show, so fans should be sure to tune in. The broadcast will kick off at 10am PT on October 25.

Xbox Partner Preview Event Date and Time

It’s worth mentioning that not every game showcased at the Xbox Partner Preview event will be Game Pass-related. For instance, it’s been confirmed that Remedy’s Alan Wake 2 survival-horror game will be at the show, but it’s not coming to Game Pass. Some of the confirmed games, such as Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, have been confirmed as day one Xbox Game Pass games, however.

Microsoft has also stressed that there will be no updates on Activision Blizzard games coming to Xbox Game Pass at the Xbox Partner Preview show. This makes sense, as Activision Blizzard is no longer an Xbox “partner.” Activision Blizzard and all its games are now considered first-party Xbox titles, so they wouldn’t fit in at an Xbox Partner Preview show anyway. Fans can expect more updates on Activision Blizzard games coming to Game Pass at some point in 2024.
