Epic Games Store Reveals 2 Free Games for December 7
The Epic Games Store reveals the two free games that users will be able to add to their digital libraries starting December 7.

The Epic Games Store has confirmed GigaBash and Predecessor as the two free games that users can grab for their digital libraries beginning December 7. New games are available for Epic Games Store users on a weekly basis. EGS users can count on the new free games becoming available every Thursday at 10am CT, with some exceptions to the rule.
For example, there are times when the Epic Games Store trades its weekly free game giveaways with daily free games. The Epic Games Store daily free game giveaways have traditionally been part of its mystery game promotions, which tend to coincide with big sales. The biggest Epic Games Store mystery game promotion tends to take place in December every year, but the storefront has been known to host a similar promotion in the spring as well.
It remains to be seen if the Epic Games Store free mystery game promotion is coming back for December 2023 or not, but EGS users have some new weekly free games to claim in the meantime. Right now, the Epic Games Store free games are Jitsu Squad and Mighty Fight Federation, both of which will be available until December 7 at 10:00am CT. At that point, Jitsu Squad and Mighty Fight Federation will be cycled out of the Epic Games Store free games availability list and replaced by GigaBash and Predecessor.
Epic Games Store Free Games for December 2023

- Jitsu Squad (November 30 – December 7)
- Mighty Fight Federation (November 30 – December 7)
- GigaBash (December 7 – December 14)
- Predecessor (December 7 – December 14)
GigaBash is an arena brawler game about kaijus that has drawn comparisons to both Super Smash Bros. and War of the Monsters. GigaBash earned mixed reviews at the time of its original release, but kaiju fans may still want to give it a go, especially while they have the chance to claim it for free through the Epic Games Store. Those willing to spend a little extra to get the GigaBash DLC can snag character packs featuring Ultraman characters as well as Godzilla, Gigan, Mechagodzilla, and Destoroyah.
Predecessor, meanwhile, is an early access game that combines the MOBA and FPS genres. Predecessor has earned mostly mixed reviews, but it couldn’t hurt for anyone in the market for a new hero shooter game to give it a look.
Typically, GigaBash and Predecessor joining the Epic Games Store free games lineup would mean fans would get a sneak peek at the titles replacing them the following week. However, if the Epic Games Store mystery game promotion comes back as expected, then it’s more likely that fans will be kept in the dark about the free games replacing GigaBash and Predecessor. That’s just speculation at this time though, and for now, Epic Games Store users can grab Jitsu Squad and Mighty Fight Federation for their libraries while looking forward to GigaBash and Predecessor joining the lineup next week.
