Call of Duty: Warzone reveals the features coming with Season 1 Reloaded on January 17, which includes a new win condition and more.

Call of Duty: Warzone announced that a new way to win, known as Covert Exfil, will be introduced with the Season 1 Reloaded update coming on January 17. Call of Duty: Warzone‘s future update contains other intriguing features as well, such as the Champion’s Quest, a Weapon Case, and more.
Warzone received its last major content update on December 6 with Call of Duty‘s Season 1, which introduced the new Urzikstan map and updated the battle royale to feature Modern Warfare 3‘s gameplay mechanics. Although Urzikstan is more urban than most previous Warzone maps, the new level has mostly been a hit with the player base. However, like most communities, Call of Duty fans are always looking toward the future with curiosity. As Warzone‘s Season 1 Reloaded is only a week away, Call of Duty has revealed the features that will arrive with this update.
The most intriguing feature of Warzone‘s January 17 update is the new Covert Exfil win condition. This feature will allow players to purchase a Covert Exfil for a “high price” at a buy station before the Gulag closes. Once purchased, a helicopter will be called in for the player to extract from. Call of Duty‘s website doesn’t specify whether an entire squad can exfil in one of these helicopters, but it seems likely that this is the case. It seems that a successful Covert Exfil will count as a win, but the win will only be applied to the new Covert Exfil leaderboard section. This new feature is meant to go hand-in-hand with another addition coming in the Season 1 Reloaded update, the Weapon Case.

Features Coming to Warzone With Season 1 Reloaded
- Covert Exfil
- Weapon Case
- Champion’s Quest
- Nightvision Gulag Event
Beginning with Season 1 Reloaded, a Weapon Case will spawn at the beginning of every match, and players’ maps will show a small search area that hints at the case’s location. Players who pick up the Weapon Case will be marked for all enemies. If a player Covert Exfils or wins a match while holding the Weapon Case, they and their squad will earn exclusive rewards. This might sound familiar to those who have played Call of Duty‘s DMZ mode, which features a similar mechanic.
In addition to these new features, Season 1 Reloaded will also introduce the Champion’s Quest, which rewards players with one of Call of Duty‘s premium skins in exchange for completing the difficult task. This is a new skin that is exclusive to Champion’s Quest victors. First, players will have to win either 30 Warzone matches within a season or 5 consecutive matches. After completing this challenge, players will then have to complete a series of tasks that are still unannounced.
Successful completion of the Champion’s Quest will cause an “extremely explosive finale.” This seems to suggest that the player will detonate a nuke which has been seen in previous Warzone iterations.
