Xbox Game Pass Adding New 4-Player Co-Op Game on March 19

Xbox Game Pass subscribers needing a new co-op game to play should be sure to circle Tuesday, March 19 on their calendars.

Co-op open world farming adventure game Lightyear Frontier is joining the Xbox Game Pass lineup on Tuesday, March 19. Xbox Game Pass gives subscribers a huge library of games to choose from, with new games added to the lineup on a regular basis.

The new Xbox Game Pass games added in any given month are a mix of older titles and brand-new, day one releases. The day one games are a big reason why Xbox gamers should sign up for Game Pass. For those that were planning on buying and playing those day one games anyway, the Xbox Game Pass service practically pays for itself. Luckily, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have a lot of day one games to look forward to throughout 2024, and now one has been confirmed for March 19.

It was previously confirmed that Lightyear Frontier was coming to Xbox Game Pass in March 2024, but the game was lacking a concrete release date until now. Lightyear Frontier is launching March 19, though a demo is available to download now for those that want to get a taste of the game. Lightyear Frontier‘s release date confirmation means there are now at least three day one games coming to the subscription service in March 2024 so far.

Joining Lightyear Frontier on March 19 is PlayStation-developed MLB The Show 24. MLB The Show 24 is developed by PlayStation-owned San Diego Studio, yet it will still be coming to Xbox Game Pass as a day one release. MLB The Show games have been debuting on Xbox Game Pass since the franchise first made the leap to Microsoft’s console. Every time an MLB The Show game hits Game Pass, the previous year’s entry tends to get the boot, and so it’s probable that will be the case with MLB The Show 23. Anyone still playing that game through Game Pass will want to get their fill, as it’s highly likely it will be gone by the time March 19 rolls around.

• Lightyear Frontier – March 19
• MLB The Show 24 – March 19
• Open Roads – March 28

Besides Lightyear Frontier and MLB, The Show 24, Xbox Game Pass subscribers have one other day one game to look forward to in March 2024 so far. Open Roads is coming to Xbox Game Pass on March 28, delayed from its previously announced February release date. Open Roads is a narrative-driven game starring Keri Russell and Kaitlyn Dever about a mother-daughter road trip. It’s likely that many more games will be added to Xbox Game Pass in March, but they have not been announced at the time of this writing.
