THE DIGITAL PRESENTATION WILL FOCUS ON GAMES FROM THIRD-PARTY PUBLISHERS

Nintendo has confirmed that its next Nintendo Direct will take place this week.

The ‘Partner Showcase’ will be held place on Wednesday, February 21 at 6am PT / 9am ET / 2pm BST.

The show will focus on third-party titles scheduled for release in the first half of this year, rather than games Nintendo currently has in development.

“Watch on-demand via YouTube on 2/21 at 6am PT for around 25 mins of info focused on NintendoSwitch games coming in the first half of 2024 from our publishing and development partners,” the platform holder said.

Today’s announcement confirmed recent claims that Nintendo’s regular February Nintendo Direct live stream would be a Partner Showcase.

Partner Directs are Nintendo’s digital presentations focused on games from third-party companies.

Fans were already expecting a Nintendo Direct this month since, historically, Nintendo has held one in February for the past five consecutive years.

Following weeks of speculation, Microsoft delivered an Xbox business update last Thursday, which addressed claims that the company has been exploring the possibility of bringing its games to PlayStation and Switch.

It confirmed plans to release four unnamed Xbox exclusives on other console platforms, which are believed to be Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Grounded.
