Showcase Mode has become a mainstay of the WWE 2K series

Showcase Mode has become a mainstay of the WWE 2K series, and in WWE 2K24, the developers are using the historical mode to walk players down Memory Lane once more. But this time, it’s not focused on any one WWE superstar. Instead, it covers many of the past four decades of WrestleMania’s greatest moments.
With more than a dozen matches featured in the mode, some are being left as surprises for launch day, so come back on March 4 to view the complete list of WWE 2K24 Showcase matches.
For now, we’re able to reveal the first seven matches, which puts players in the shoes of legends like Ricky Steamboat, Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, and more.
If you’re more of an Attitude Era kid or Ruthless Aggression fan, don’t worry, this mode travels chronologically through WrestleMania history, and on March 4 you’ll see that your favorite eras are well covered, too.

Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage – WrestleMania III
The first match in WWE 2K24’s Showcase mode is an eternal classic for the Intercontinental Championship: Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage from WrestleMania III. The bitter rivalry between the two legendary Superstars began six months earlier when Savage sent Steamboat to the hospital after crushing his larynx in a vicious attack. After several bloodier clashes, the long-running feud eventually culminated in a championship bout at 1987’s Showcase of the Immortals, as Savage put his 14-month reign as Intercontinental Champion on the line.
Completing all 14 objectives throughout the match unlocks “Macho Man” Randy Savage, his manager Miss Elizabeth, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and George “The Animal” Steele.

Hulk Hogan vs. Andre The Giant – WrestleMania III
The Irresistible Force vs. The Immovable Object. WWE 2K24’s second Showcase match pits the reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan, against his former friend and towering challenger, Andre The Giant. This legendary main event is immortalized by the everlasting image of Hogan bodyslamming the 520 lb. Andre, but the feud began in the months leading up to WrestleMania III, when Andre betrayed Hogan by joining forces with his long-time adversary, Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. With Andre’s 15-year unbeaten streak and Hogan’s three-year reign as World Heavyweight Champion both on the line, this was a main event worthy of WrestleMania.
Completing all 11 objectives unlocks Hulk Hogan, Andre The Giant, manager Bobby “The Brain” Heenan with his WrestleMania III attire, and the WrestleMania III arena.

Rick Rude vs. The Ultimate Warrior – WrestleMania V
The third match in WWE 2K24’s Showcase mode jumps ahead a few years to WrestleMania V, as “Ravishing” Rick Rude takes on The Ultimate Warrior for the Intercontinental Championship. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan is back, this time in the corner of the challenger, Rick Rude. This feud kicked off a few months earlier when both men faced each other in a Super Posedown at the 1989 Royal Rumble. The Ultimate Warrior won the posedown–as decided by fan reaction–angering Rude, who unleashed a furious attack on Warrior. With revenge on his mind and the Intercontinental title on the line, the two muscle-bound Superstars faced off on the grandest stage of them all.
Completing all 13 objectives unlocks The Ultimate Warrior, “Ravishing” Rick Rude, and the WrestleMania V attire for manager Booby “The Brain” Heenan.

Hulk Hogan vs. Randy Savage – WrestleMania V
The Mega Powers collide in Showcase mode’s fourth match, which sees Hulk Hogan and “Macho Man” Randy Savage square off in the main event of WrestleMania V. For much of the previous year, the two larger-than-life Superstars were a unified team, referring to themselves as The Mega Powers. After Savage won the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with Hogan’s help at WrestleMania IV, the pair feuded with several heel tag teams throughout 1988, until tensions eventually started boiling to the surface. Savage’s valet, Miss Elizabeth, was the primary source of the pair’s gradual uneasiness, with Savage often angered by Hogan putting her in harm’s way. This all came to a head at WrestleMania V, as the Mega Powers clashed in a match for Savage’s World Heavyweight title.
Completing all 17 objectives unlocks the WrestleMania V attires for Hulk Hogan, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and Miss Elizabeth, plus the WrestleMania V arena.

The Ultimate Warrior vs. Hulk Hogan – WrestleMania VI
Hulkamania is still running wild in Showcase mode’s fifth match, as Hulk Hogan takes on The Ultimate Warrior in the main event of WrestleMania VI. After a brief, teasing encounter at the 1990 Royal Rumble, Hogan challenged The Ultimate Warrior to determine who was the strongest force in WWE: Hulkamania or the Power of Warrior. This set up a winner-takes-all match at WrestleMania VI, with Warrior’s Intercontinental Championship and Hogan’s World Heavyweight Championship both on the line.
Completing all 18 objectives unlocks the WrestleMania VI attires for Hulk Hogan and The Ultimate Warrior, plus the WrestleMania VI arena.

Roddy Piper vs. Bret Hart – WrestleMania VIII
The sixth match in WWE 2K24’s Showcase mode sees Bret “Hit Man” Hart go up against “Rowdy” Roddy Piper at WrestleMania VIII for the Intercontinental Championship. Hart previously won the gold at SummerSlam 1991 before losing it to the hated Mountie while suffering from a 100-degree temperature. His close friend, Piper, then challenged the loudmouth Canadian villain and won, capturing his first singles championship in WWE. A match between the two was soon announced for WrestleMania VIII, but Piper initially refused to fight his friend. Hart eventually convinced him otherwise, but The Hot Rod vowed to scratch, claw, and brawl to keep the title, adding intensity to a battle between two babyfaces.
Completing all 17 objectives unlocks Bret “Hit Man” Hart ’92, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, and the WrestleMania VIII arena.

Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels – WrestleMania X
The next match in WWE 2K24‘s Showcase mode is another legendary Intercontinental Championship bout, this time between Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania X. The feud between The Bad Guy and The Heartbreak Kid started a few months earlier when Michaels was stripped of the Intercontinental Championship for not defending it enough. Ramon won the title by emerging victorious in a battle royal and then defeating the other finalist, Rick Martel, in a singles match. However, Michaels refused to acknowledge the title change, insisting he was the true Intercontinental Champion because he was never defeated. With both men carrying championship belts and calling the other a phony, a unification match was set for WrestleMania X with the added stimulation that it was just the second ladder match in WWE history.
Completing all 16 objectives unlocks Razor Ramon, Shawn Michaels, Diesel, Diesel’s WrestleMania X attire, and the WrestleMania X arena.
