Fallout 3 Among Games Being Given Away For Free With Amazon Prime This Month
Prime subscribers can claim nine games for no additional charge throughout May.
Amazon gives away free games to Prime subscribers every month and has already revealed quite the haul coming your way this May. Topping the bill thanks to the show currently doing gangbusters on Amazon’s streaming platform is Fallout 3. Not just any Fallout 3 either, but the Game of the Year Edition. That means everything Fallout 3 has to offer, including all of its DLC, free to keep forever if you have a Prime subscription.
If you have Prime, your Fallout 3 code will be free to claim (and then cash in on GOG) from May 9. It is only for the PC version of the game. If you want to play it on Xbox you will need to buy it or get Game Pass, and if you want to play it on PlayStation, you will need to stream it through PS Plus Premium. Amazon giving away Fallout 3 for free to Prime subscribers comes hot off the heels of it giving them Fallout 76, the newest game in the series.
Note:
It’s not too late to claim Fallout 76 for free through Prime if this is the first you’re hearing of it. The game is free to claim until May 15, and there’s no reason you can’t play it at the same time as Fallout 3 since they’re very different games.
Fallout 3 is far from the only game Prime subscribers can get for free this month. Since it was Star Wars Day this weekend, Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars is currently free to claim through Prime. A fantastic entry in the Lego Star Wars video game universe and well worth playing if you’re unfamiliar with it, especially while it’s free. You can also claim Tomb Raider’s Game of the Year Edition right now, joining Amazon’s haul on the same day it was added to Game Pass.

If you don’t have Prime, or you’re looking at ways to play the other Fallout games for less, there are plenty of deals out there now as Bethesda tries to capitalize on the surge in popularity brought about by the massive success of the show. Fanatical is currently selling a bundle that includes all seven Fallout games for just $24.99. You can also grab a Vault 33 backpack from Game if you want to extend your Fallout fandom beyond screens alone, although it’s going to cost you $250.
