Fortnite’s Wrecked Season Will Seemingly Feature A Marvel Crossover
Fans might be groaning, but it’s actually been a while since a new Season featured a Marvel crossover.

A short teaser trailer has given us our first proper look at Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3, and seemingly confirmed that it’ll feature a crossover with Marvel at some point.
Ever since Fortnite’s Battle Royale mode took the world by storm in 2017, one of the most notable things about it is all the weird and wonderful crossovers that have been added to the game. We’ve seen plenty of franchises join The Island over the past few years (including some big surprises like Family Guy and Metal Gear Solid) but there’s one that undeniably pops up more than the rest
If you’ve been playing Fortnite for long enough, then you’ll instantly know that I’m talking about Marvel. Although it was quite a shock to see characters like Captain America and Star-Lord when Fortnite was just in its early days, it’s quickly become one of the most frequent crossovers and something fans expect to see in almost every season. Just look at how many times Captain America has been in the shop.
Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 3 Will Feature Marvel At Some Point
With that in mind, it probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise to learn that Fortnite’s upcoming Wrecked season, which goes live on May 24, will include some kind of collaboration with Marvel at some point. As spotted by reliable Fortnite insider iFireMonkey, the teaser trailer for Chapter 5, Season 3 that dropped yesterday included some copyright details right at the end.
If you look closely enough, you’ll be able to spot that Marvel is one of the copyrights mentioned in the teaser trailer, despite none of the comic giant’s characters appearing in the footage we’ve seen so far. This suggests that Marvel is going to appear during the season in some capacity, either with some new items in the Item Shop, or even on the Battle Pass.
It’s worth noting that Fortnite’s leaked 2024 roadmap seemed to indicate that this year’s Fortnitemares event would feature Doctor Doom, suggesting that we’ll see even more Marvel as the year goes on.
I’m sure that some Fortnite fans are groaning right now, but we haven’t actually had a Marvel character appear in a Battle Pass since the end of 2022. It’s been a while since Marvel has done anything other than being in the Item Shop, so it’s actually a nice change of pace to have its characters potentially appear front and centre this season.
And with all this sand around, there’s one character that certainly seems more likely than the rest…
