Some SHiFT Codes last a long time. Some expire quickly, within weeks or even days. Below are the most current codes we could find and verify as of July 2024.

How to redeem Borderlands SHiFT Codes

You can redeem Borderlands SHiFT Codes inside of each game and through developer Gearbox Software’s official SHiFT Codes site, where you can link your Epic Games account. (It’s a lot easier to just copy and paste the codes below using that site.)

Some SHiFT Codes work for multiple games, and you can redeem that same code multiple times—once for each game. After you’ve redeemed the SHiFT Codes, check the in-game menu or mailbox to accept the item that you redeemed and grab your loot, or the key that unlocks the chest where your loot is hiding.

Golden Keys SHiFT Codes

Golden Keys unlock special Golden Chests in Borderlands games. In Borderlands 2, there is a special chest in Sanctuary that you can only open with Golden Keys. In Borderlands 3, there’s a special chest in Sanctuary 3. In Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, the chest is in Concordia.

No matter which game you’re playing, the idea is simple: you can find better-than-average loot inside.

SHiFT Codes for Golden Keys work across multiple games. Some may require you to link additional accounts, like one for Borderlands publisher 2K. Here are a few to get you started across multiple games. Some of them can unlock one key, while others unlock three or even five.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands SHiFT Codes

In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, SHiFT Codes often unlock Skeleton Keys, that game’s version of Golden Keys. They unlock special loot chests that you can find throughout the game.

You can redeem these SHiFT Codes on Gearbox’s official site and in the game’s Social menu. You can sometimes find them on the game’s official X account. Also, you may find that some of the SHiFT Codes unlock Skeleton Keys alone, while some can also unlock Golden Keys in other Borderlands games.
