Hotfix 1.0.6 for The First Descendant addresses various gameplay and character bugs found within the game.

Nexon releases hotfix 1.0.6 for The First Descendant, addressing numerous bugs and other issues impacting the popular looter shooter. Following its launch early in July, Nexon’s The First Descendant has proven to be a hit with players as it takes elements from other popular titles in this genre, like Warframe and Destiny 2.

In order to maintain player interest and popularity, Nexon continues to make improvements and updates to The First Descendant on a consistent basis. In fact, just this week saw a major new update that added characters Luna and Ultimate Valby, another boss battle against Gluttony, as well as new gear to craft like the Hand Cannon Peace Maker. On top of that, Nexon continues to monitor player feedback both for problems as well as what may not be working quite as well as expected. With that in mind, there’s a new update for players to download, bringing plenty more quality of life updates.

Following hot on the heels of the massive 1.5 update for The First Descendant, Nexon releases a new hotfix which is smaller in overall size but makes many important improvements and fixes bugs impacting the game. In addition to making adjustments to various Descendant characters like Jayber, Kyle, and Valby, this hotfix has resolved an issue player had been reporting where Weekly and Seasonal Challenges associated with the Battle Pass were not correctly rewarding players with Supply Coins. Thankfully, any bugged challenges that have been addressed will be appropriately granted to players once this patch has been applied. In addition, one of the community’s favorite farming missions called “Fortress Outskirts” in White-Night Gulch has also been fixed, now spawning in the correct number of enemies, which seemingly broke after Update 1.5.

Alongside the various bug fixes, Update 1.0.6 also makes a couple of content improvements for The First Descendant players making purchases using Caliber from the in-game store. Specifically, Nexon has added an indicator to the store that will make it easier for players to know if a bundle features items that they don’t have inventory space for. In addition, the bundle price will now be discounted if there is an inventory limit issue.

Alongside recent updates, Nexon is also offering free rewards to The First Descendant players in celebration of the game’s major update. For a limited time from August 2 to 8, players should visit the in-game Mailbox in the Albion social space to retrieve a variety of boosts. Gold and Kyper shard drop rates, Descendant EXP and Weapon EXP are all getting a 30% boost, though players should keep in mind that once activated, they’ll remain active for 3 days before expiring.
