Dr Disrespect has changed his Twitter header image for the second time since his fall from grace.

Dr Disrespect has once again turned some heads by changing his Twitter header image following his recent fall from grace. The new header appears to be referencing his now-infamous tweet that saw him clarify the circumstances surrounding his 2020 Twitch ban.
The referenced message was originally posted on June 25, shortly after former Twitch employee Cody Conners accused Dr Disrespect, whose real name is Herschel Beahm IV, of “sexting a minor” using the platform’s since-discontinued Twitch Whispers feature. The 648-word statement saw Dr Disrespect admit to exchanging “inappropriate” messages with a minor, but also insist that the situation did not develop any further. “Nothing illegal happened,” the content creator wrote, all the while denouncing the allegations of being a “predator” that some social media users began throwing his way at the time.
Dr Disrespect Implies His Twitch Ban Statement Was Some Kind of Bait
Exactly one month later, Dr Disrespect changed his Twitter header image to a render of a fishing bobber featuring his logo, which prompted a number of his social media followers to speculate that he was framing the controversy as some kind of bait. The YouTube star has now once again updated his Twitter header image on August 8, this time showing a wider angle of the same scene. Visible below the water surface in the new header is a torn-up printout of Dr Disrespect’s June 25 Twitter statement. The move hence serves as an even stronger indicator that the content creator is implying his admission of sharing inappropriate messages with a minor was some kind of bait.

This connection was not lost on Dr Disrespect’s fans, many of whom have taken to social media to discuss the header change in the days that followed. But while plenty of them are in agreement that the image relates the June 25 statement to bait, there’s no community consensus on who exactly is being baited here. A few of Dr Disrespect’s fans even went as far as to speculate that the image was meant to suggest he was catfished via Twitch Whispers. While this was a somewhat popular conspiracy theory in the days following his admission to sharing inappropriate messages with a minor, no evidence substantiating it has emerged to date.
In between these two cryptic Twitter header changes, Dr Disrespect posted an image of him playing chess while his opponent is playing checkers on July 31. This was widely interpreted as another apparent attempt at suggesting that there was more to the controversy than he originally let on.
It is currently unclear what could be keeping the content creator from sharing his full side of the story if there is indeed more to it. His admission to sharing inappropriate Twitch Whispers messages with a minor has already proven to be a huge blow to his career, prompting many sponsors to cut ties with Dr Disrespect.
