Epic Mickey-Themed Controller Is Exclusive To This Nintendo Switch Preorder Bundle Deal
The Epic Mickey: Rebrushed wireless controller is exclusive to GameStop, and it’s only $35 when bundled with the Nintendo Switch version of the remake.

If you plan to pick up Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed when it launches on September 24, you should check out GameStop’s preorder bundle deal for $95. The bundle comes with a special-edition wireless controller and a physical copy of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed for Nintendo Switch. Compatible with Switch and PC, the Epic Mickey controller is part of GameStop’s Candy Con series that debuted earlier this year. With the game priced at $60, you’re getting an Epic Mickey-themed wireless controller with some cool features for only $35.
We’d recommend ordering soon if interested, as a special-edition controller featuring Mickey Mouse probably won’t remain in stock for long. Epic Mickey fans bought-up all 5,000 of the Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Collector’s Editions very quickly earlier this year.
Technically, the bundle comes with three items: the game, a Candy Con Base Unit, and the Epic Mickey controller faceplate. Many other controllers have had swappable faceplates, but GameStop has started offering some exciting collaborations that makes this feature more notable than usual. Five different Transformers-themed faceplates are available for $17 each, including Bumblebee (preorder), Hot Rod, and Soundwave. GameStop also has a growing lineup of Monster Jam designs as well as a bunch of candy-like colors to pick from.
The Epic Mickey faceplate, however, is only available in this bundle. Similarly, you can’t buy the faceplate separately for the newly revealed Silent Hill 2 PC wireless controller. You could swap faceplates between the Mickey and Silent Hill controllers–Mickey’s paintbrush would probably bring some cheer to that dreary town. The Silent Hill controller is up for preorder for $60 as part of GameStop’s exclusive merch collection.
Outside of swappable faceplates, GameStop’s Candy Con controllers are equipped with some pro-style features not found on the Switch Pro Controller. Here’s a list of notable features for the Epic Mickey controller:
- Swappable Hall Effect analog sticks (white) – Other colors sold in two-packs for $4 each
- Swappable D-pad (white) – Other colors sold in two-packs for $4 each
- Two remappable back buttons
- Linear triggers
- Turbo mode
- Gyro motion controls
- Dual-motor rumble with three intensities
- Bluetooth 5.0 (25-foot range)
- Up to 10 hours battery life
- Swappable Epic Mickey faceplate – Transformers ($17) | Monster Jam ($17-$20) | Candy Con colors ($10)
Candy Con controllers are manufactured by Geeknet, a GameStop-owned company. We haven’t tested it yet, so we can’t speak on the controller’s performance on Switch or PC.
While this bundle includes the Nintendo Switch version of Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, the game is also launching on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, and preorders are available for all platforms. Rebrushed is a remake of the 2010 platformer for Nintendo Wii. It seeks to maintain the core gameplay and story of the original while updating the experience with new graphics, modernized controls, and remixed puzzle design.
