Two new PS5 Slim bundles with Fortnite content coming for Black Friday.
As Black Friday approaches, leaks have revealed new deals for PlayStation 5, with Sony seemingly set to release two new PlayStation 5 Slim bundles that will come with additional content for Fortnite. Historically, Sony has offered strong promotions for PlayStation 5 bundles and games during Black Friday, and this year seems to be no exception.
Last year, Sony released a PlayStation 5 bundle with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 during Black Friday, with a discount letting players grab both the console and the game at a reduced price. This year, Black Friday falls on November 29 and while most details about upcoming gaming deals are still under wraps, some leaks begin to tease what players can expect during this period filled with exciting promotions.
According to Dealabs’ billbil-kun, an industry insider who has accurately leaked the releases of gaming hardware in the past and teased the upcoming new Xbox gaming headset, the 2024 PlayStation 5 Black Friday bundles will include two new packs. These bundles are both called PS5 – Fortnite Cobalt Star, and will feature either the Standard Edition of the PlayStation 5 Slim, with a disc drive, or the Digital Edition without a disc drive. On top of the console, the PS5 – Fortnite Cobalt Star comes with a download code for 8 exclusive Fortnite skins with a total estimated value of 5,000 V-Bucks, as well as 1,000 extra V-Bucks to use in the game. The PlayStation 5 Standard Edition – Fortnite Cobalt Star bundle will cost $499.99, while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition – Fortnite Cobalt Star bundle will be priced at $449.99. A limited-time launch promotion will offer a $75 discount on both bundles. This promotion will be valid starting November 22, 2024, and is expected to last for at least two weeks, covering both Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Beyond PlayStation, players can expect a variety of Black Friday deals across all platforms. Xbox and Nintendo usually have their own promotions, with discounts on consoles, first-party games, and accessories. Last year, some of the best Black Friday deals included huge discounts on laptops and PC, Diablo 4 for nearly 30% off its regular price, Assassin’s Creed Mirage for less than $40, and up to a 50% discount on Resident Evil 4, among many other gaming deals.
