PC Gamers Technically Have 11 Free Games to Claim Right Now
PC gamers have many opportunities to acquire free games from digital storefronts.

Between Steam, the Epic Games Store, and GOG, PC gamers technically have 11 free games they can add to their digital libraries. PC gamers are treated to free games on a near-constant basis. Publishers occasionally host free game giveaways as part of promotional events, while some digital storefronts give away free games to draw more users to their platforms.
For example, GOG gives away free games all the time, as does the Epic Games Store, which is the most predictable when it comes to free game giveaways. Every Thursday at 10:00am CT, PC gamers can boot up the Epic Games Store launcher and claim the latest freebies. Typically, these freebies consist of full-blown free games, but there are times when users are treated to content in free-to-play games instead.
The current Epic Games Store free games are Castlevania Anniversary Collection, which consists of eight games, along with Snakebird Complete. Steam users, meanwhile, currently have the chance to claim Half-Life 2 for free, while those on GOG can snag Diggles: The Myth of Fenris. PC gamers have a limited time to claim these free games, so those interested should be sure to do so as soon as possible.
Epic Games Store Free Games

- Castlevania Anniversary Collection (until November 21)
- Castlevania
- Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest
- Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse
- Super Castlevania 4
- Castlevania: The Adventure
- Castlevania 2: Belmont’s Revenge
- Castlevania Bloodlines
- Kid Dracula
- Snakebird Complete (until November 21)
Epic Games Store users have until Thursday, November 21 at 10:00am CT to claim Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Snakebird Complete. Castlevania Anniversary Collection is eight games in one, collecting Castlevania, Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest, Castlevania 3: Dracula’s Curse, Super Castlevania 4, Castlevania: The Adventure, Castlevania 2: Belmont’s Revenge, Castlevania Bloodlines, and Kid Dracula in a single convenient package. Needless to say, getting all of these games for free is a steal, and so getting the well-received puzzle game Snakebird Complete on top of all that makes this current batch of EGS freebies some of the best that the platform has seen all year.
Once November 21 rolls around, Castlevania Anniversary Collection and Snakebird Complete will be replaced by Beholder. Beholder is a rather unique game about spying on apartment tenants for a totalitarian government, with player choice shaping the narrative. Beholder will be free on the Epic Games Store from November 21 to November 28, at which point it will be replaced by a different free game that has yet to be announced.
Half-Life 2 is Free on Steam for a Limited Time

Half-Life 2 has been hailed by many as one of the absolute greatest video games ever made. Being able to get it completely free of charge is incredible, and PC gamers have a limited time to do just that. In celebration of Half-Life 2‘s 20th anniversary, Valve has released a new update for the beloved FPS and has also made it free for Steam users to claim until November 18 at 12:00pm CT.
GOG is Giving Away a Free Game

GOG recently announced serious game preservation plans, and that’s not the only good news that the platform has to share. PC gamers have until Monday, November 18 at 7:30am CT to claim Diggles: The Myth of Fenris for free through GOG. The game is a bizarre resource management/strategy game where players oversee a colony of underground dwarves.
