Call of Duty: Warzone releases a new update, addressing XP balancing with increased player and weapon XP.

Activision releases a new update for Call of Duty: Warzone, fixing a number of bugs, making further changes to player XP values, while also adding new content including the return of Rebirth Island. Black Ops 6 has managed to have a huge launch, even without Call of Duty: Warzone being available on day 1.
However, all that changed on November 14 when Call of Duty: Warzone launched inside of Black Ops 6, complete with new playlists and maps like Area 99. Even after a week of being available, Raven Software has been busy with the popular mode, addressing player-found issues, making changes to mechanics like player movement, while nerfing certain tactical equipment like the Stim Shot. Now, a new update has arrived, making additional tweaks and changes to the core Warzone experience.
While not a huge update, it does address a few of the hot topics currently happening in the Warzone experience. The Stim Shot in Warzone has again been adjusted, giving players a 3-second speed boost duration instead of just the 1. XP balancing has been another hot button issue in the community, especially with the token controversies and the fact that Black Ops 6 owners get a slight boost over those who don’t. With this update, Raven has increased player XP in Battle Royale and Plunder, while weapon XP has been boosted in Resurgeance and Plunder.

The update also sees the return of Rebirth Island to the Warzone playlist. Raven originally removed Rebirth Island on November 18, just days after Warzone relaunched inside of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Details were limited, but Raven temporarily removed Rebirth Island from the Warzone playlist to investigate and fix map-specific issues. According to the patch notes, the studio corrected a number of lighting and audio issues on the map, hopefully giving players an improved experience overall.

One element that was left alone in this update is movement. Just recently, Call of Duty: Warzone reduced the minimum sprint time required to slide or dive to prone, while also fixing a frustrating bug that prevented some players from sprinting after performing a bunch of actions in a short amount of time.

Our goal is to offer a meaningful speed boost with a clear upper limit, to ensure balanced and consistent combat encounters. As it stands, both Resolute and Stim Shot provide a 15% speed boost each, with their combined effect capping at 20%. This allows players to experiment with various combinations to reach the maximum impact.
