A Post Malone collaboration event with Hunt: Showdown 1896 is coming soon, titled Murder Circus.

Developer Crytek has announced a brand-new collaboration between its first-person shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896 and the popular singer Post Malone. This crossover is currently teased to be “coming soon,” but the studio has provided plenty of lore and cosmetic details while fans wait for release day. For new players wanting to try Hunt: Showdown 1896, Black Friday deals from the PlayStation Store and Steam are currently making it easier than ever to become a bounty hunter.
First released in 2018, Hunt: Showdown allows players to hunt mythical monsters, claim the rewards, and survive against other bounty hunters. In August 2024, Crytek released an updated version of the game titled Hunt: Showdown 1896, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S users, compensating for the older PS4 and Xbox One versions ending. Hunt: Showdown 1896 recently debuted a crossover with the Scream franchise, and welcomed the iconic killer Ghostface into the roster, making 2024 a popular year for the masked enemy after being added to the Mortal Kombat 1 line-up as well.
Announced in a Hunt: Showdown blog post, a crossover between Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Austin Richard Post, more commonly known as Post Malone, was confirmed to be coming soon to the shooter. Titled Post Malone’s Murder Circus, the event promises to be the biggest one yet, said to combine gothic horror with carnival corruption. The exclusive collab will see the musician undertake the role of the Deposed King, who’s at the head of a carnival tainted by the dark power of the HelioStone. Hunt: Showdown 1896 is one of the hardest first-person shooters on PlayStation 5 right now, and the Murder Circus teases a savage bear and other monstrous creatures to up the ante.
Hunt: Showdown 1896 Announces Murder Circus Event With Post Malone

- New Monster Ursa Mortis
- Surreal, Carnival-Inspired Atmosphere
In addition to the intriguing lore that will flavor the Murder Circus, the event will also introduce new Hunter skins, the brand-new Monster Ursa Mortis, and new weapons and weapon variants, which could compete with the list of the best weapons already found in Hunt: Showdown 1896. Crytek confirmed the event would be available to all players on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S, and more information, including the anticipated release date, was teased to be dropped through the game’s social media channels.

Hunt: Showdown 1896‘s narrative director previously teased the Post Malone collaboration during GameRant’s interview with Richard Dansky. The game’s union with the singer is an unexpected one, but since Post is a fan of the shooter, it seems like it was the perfect opportunity to expand on the game’s mythos with his creativity onboard and to debut exciting new cosmetics for players.
