Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to add UFC 5 and Diablo in January 2025, according to the latest leaks and rumors.
According to the latest leaks, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to play UFC 5 and the first Diablo game through their subscription before the month is out. New games are added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on a monthly basis, though Microsoft has yet to fully pull the curtain back on what’s on the way for January 2025.
The official announcement hasn’t come yet, but previous reveals have given fans a sneak peek at what to expect from the new Xbox Game Pass games for January 2025. Carrion was added as the first new Xbox Game Pass game of the month, while Road 96 is coming on January 7, day one game Eternal Strands is joining the Game Pass lineup on January 28, Sniper Elite: Resistance is coming on January 30, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is dropping on January 31.
These games may be joined by the original Diablo and EA Sports UFC 5, according to reputable leaker eXtas1s (as spotted by Pure Xbox), though fans should always take leaks with a grain of salt. Notably, neither game would be available to those who are signed up for the Xbox Game Pass Standard tier. Besides the fact that day one Xbox Game Pass games tend to skip the Standard tier since the changes made last year, there are other reasons Diablo and UFC 5 wouldn’t be on the lower tier.

For one, Diablo is said to be coming to PC Game Pass, which is separate from the Standard tier, but available as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. UFC 5, meanwhile, is joining the Game Pass Ultimate library through EA Play. Even before the Game Pass tier changes, EA Play games were only available to Ultimate subscribers. Those that haven’t upgraded to the Ultimate tier will need to wait for the official announcement from Microsoft to know what’s coming to their tier of the service in January 2025.
There will be multiple notable new games added to Xbox Game Pass in January 2025, but games will be leaving the service as well. It’s been confirmed that Common’hood, Escape Academy, Exoprimal, Figment: Journey in the Mind, Insurgency: Sandstorm, and Those Who Remain are all leaving Xbox Game Pass in January 2025. These games are expected to get the boot on January 15, but it’s entirely possible that their departures will come at the end of the month instead. Like with the potential new Game Pass Standard additions, subscribers will just have to wait and see what happens on that front.
