Verdansk could return to Warzone in Season 3, according to a leak.

A Call of Duty: Warzone leak has revealed that Verdansk may return to the battle royale in Season 3. Since the release of Call of Duty: Warzone, Verdansk has become a fan-favorite location, and gamers may be able to explore it again soon.
When Call of Duty: Warzone was launched during the lifespan of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Verdansk was the only map that players could explore. Among the Verdansk points of interest were the City Center, Airport, Boneyard, and Suburbs. Since then, Verdansk returned with the release of Warzone Mobile??????, which limited the potential player base as consoles and PC were excluded. While it was the first standard Warzone map, Verdansk has been replaced by the Pacific Caldera, Al Mazrah, Urzikstan, Vondel, and Verdansk ’84. Although Verdansk ’84 included some key similarities to the original location, it featured a unique aesthetic and was missing certain landmarks like the Gora Dam. With many gamers waiting for a Verdansk return, a recent leak may boost enthusiasm for the battle royale.
Call of Duty news outlet Charlie Intel recently tweeted about Verdank’s return to Warzone in Season 3 thanks to a leak from user TheGhostofHope. Though the tweet includes a screenshot of the Verdansk map, it’s unclear if it was taken from datamined images from Season 3 or if it’s just a copy of the original map. While Verdansk 84′ changed the map in significant ways, and it was based on Black Ops: Cold War, the location being teased shares more in common with the original. Similar to Black Ops 6 Season 1, Season 3 of Warzone will overlap with the mainline game, which may result in an influx of players when it drops. Since it was released, Black Ops 6 has seen a steady decline in players, which hasn’t been significantly bolstered by Season 1’s release or the Squid Game collaboration.

Call of Duty: Warzone Leak Suggests Verdansk Returns in Season 3
Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 are set to begin across all platforms on January 28 at 9:00 A.M. Pacific Time. Based on this, Season 1 will have lasted 54 days, potentially setting a standard time frame for Season 2 and subsequent major content drops. Season 2 is expected to include Ricochet anti-cheat improvements and may feature new modes, events, and more. Though it doesn’t currently have a release date, fans anticipate a Spring release for Season 3. This means, if the leak is to be believed, that Verdansk could return to Warzone in March.
As the return of Verdansk is based on a leak, its return should be taken with a grain of salt until it’s confirmed by Activision or Treyarch. Activision continues to update Black Ops 6 and Warzone, which will ensure that new content will arrive in both clients regardless of whether Verdansk comes back or not.
