Sony has announced the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for January 2025.
Sony has officially announced the new games coming to the Extra and Premium tiers of its PlayStation Plus subscription service for January 2025. PlayStation Plus subscribers that want to get the most bang for their buck should sign up for the Premium tier, as it includes all the games that are part of the Essential and Extra tiers plus the Premium exclusives, along with various other benefits.
All PlayStation Plus members, regardless of their tier, have already been treated to a batch of free games for January 2025. The free PS Plus games for January 2025 are Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, which are all up for grabs until they’re replaced by February’s lineup. PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers are free to check those out as well as the new games coming to the regularly updated catalog.
On Tuesday, January 21, Sony will update the PS Plus Extra and Premium libraries. ANNO: Mutationem, Atlas Fallen: Reign of Sand, Citizen Sleeper, God of War Ragnarok, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, Orcs Must Die 3, Poker Club, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and SD Gundam Battle Alliance are coming to PS Plus Extra that day, while Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings and Medievil 2 are coming to Premium. This makes for a total of 11 games that Premium subscribers will get to play come Tuesday, January 21.

Of all the new games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium on January 21, the obvious headliner is God of War Ragnarok. God of War Ragnarok is one of the highest-rated PlayStation games of all time, and it should make a fantastic addition to the PS Plus Extra library. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is no slouch either, providing yet another action-packed Yakuza franchise adventure.
PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers may want to prioritize Citizen Sleeper, however. Citizen Sleeper is an RPG that was released in 2022 to mostly positive reviews. A sequel is due out on January 31, so Citizen Sleeper is joining the PS Plus Extra lineup at the perfect time.
