The Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailer teases the return of the Snake vs. Monkey minigame.

The Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release trailer was launched on February 13, giving players a glimpse at a mode included in the game: the Snake vs. Monkey minigame. Along with the Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date, slated for August 28, the trailer also confirmed the presence of many iconic bosses from the original game.
Since its initial announcement, the remake has generated excitement among Metal Gear fans. Among the titles in the highly popular franchise, MGS3 is probably one of the most cherished. The story of Snake sneaking into the jungle to face various bosses with unique characteristics, along with its deep narrative, quickly became iconic in the gaming industry. The remake promises to bring the very same experience, revamped with today’s graphical power, while staying true to the original game. Recently, players got a sneak peek at some of the battles they will have to face when the game releases.
During the recent PlayStation State of Play, the rumored Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater release date was finally revealed as August 28, confirming that players will still need to wait several months before stepping into Snake’s shoes again. In the trailer, many iconic moments from the original game were shown, including the appearance of certain bosses. But one detail that caught fans’ attention was a cartoonish Pipo Monkey from Ape Escape hiding in the jungle at the end of the trailer. This teases the return of the popular Snake vs. Monkey minigame from MGS3, where players had to chase and capture Pipo Monkeys.

But the surprises don’t end there. It seems that instead of the Monkey mode, Xbox players won’t have to catch these creatures in the jungle at all, as the Xbox trailer ended with an image that suggested a crossover with the Bomberman franchise. Additionally, at the end of both trailers, a sign that reads “And more…” teases other potential inclusions, though it’s unclear whether these will be returning features from the original game or new ones.

Although the trailer didn’t showcase actual gameplay footage, it did feature Snake fighting some of the legendary Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater bosses, including Ocelot, the Fury, the Boss, and even the confrontation against the End, which is regarded by many as the best battle in the game. Even though the trailer has given fans more information on what to expect and teased many exciting things coming in the remake, the community will likely remain eager to learn more until they can finally get their hands on the game on August 28.
