Dark and Darker has been removed from the Epic Games Store.

Dark and Darker has been delisted from the Epic Games Store. The unfortunate event happened on the heels of a lawsuit that accuses Dark and Darker developer Ironmace of misappropriating Nexon’s assets during the game’s development.
Dark and Darker was originally released in 2023 for PC and mobile platforms. Set in a dark fantasy world, the game is a first-person dungeon-crawler RPG with extraction elements. In it, players can pick between ten different classes and can fight either monsters or each other to obtain valuable loot and to maintain their survival. Back in December 2024, Dark and Darker – Legendary Status was offered on the Epic Games Store as one of the free mystery games of the month.
Now, developer Ironmace has revealed that Dark and Darker has been delisted from the Epic Games Store. According to a Discord post (via PCGamesN), the EGS decided to delist the title after “claims made by opposing parties in an ongoing legal dispute.” Ironmance is likely referring to the lawsuit Nexon aimed at Dark and Darker in South Korea. In this legal case, Ironmace is being accused of copyright infringement and of appropriating assets that belonged to Nexon and using them in the game. While the court dismissed copyright infringement claims, Ironmace was recently made to pay around $5.7 million in damages to Nexon due to using stolen assets from a canceled project called P3, which had some of the same developers as the title created by Ironmace.
Dark and Darker Delisted From the Epic Games Store

In any case, while the standard version of Dark and Darker can no longer be played on the Epic Games Store, Dark and Darker – Legendary Status’s page is still working at the time of this report. The reason for that may be linked to the fact that Dark and Darker is a F2P game, while Dark and Darker – Legendary Status is a paid expansion, and was given out to many EGS users recently. Steam players also currently have access to the game, though it’s unknown if the title will be delisted sometime in the future.
Unfortunately, it seems that the future of Dark and Darker remains at risk after this lawsuit. With the recent release of Dark and Darker Mobile in the US, it seemed that 2025 would be an excellent time for the popular extraction RPG, but the title may face more tribulations during the rest of the year. It remains to be seen how this will affect its development and availability.
