Minecraft: Spicewood leaked earlier this week, with the leakers claiming that it’s a sequel to Minecraft Dungeons.

Earlier this week, it was claimed that another Minecraft spinoff has been in development for two years, codenamed Project Spicewood. This was put forward by popular Marvel Rivals leakers XOXLeak, who also shared a screenshot and some keyart, claiming that it is a sequel to Minecraft Dungeons that will launch in 2026.
Now, the leakers are back, claiming to have more screenshots of the apparent sequel. If legitimate, it gives us a look at one of the areas in the game and the lobby screen, and it looks like fans are pleased with what they’ve seen so far.
More Project Spicewood Screenshots Are Being Shared Online
The leakers claim this will act as a sequel to 2020’s Minecraft Dungeons

This second part of the Spicewood leak refers to the area in the first screenshot as Icelagoon, whereas the second screenshot is the in-game lobby screen.
It’s hard to gauge much about the game – if it is in fact real – from these screenshots. However, fans definitely seem to be very excited by the prospect of another spin-off like Minecraft Dungeons, as it was very well received. It’s certainly been long enough for something to be happening with a potential sequel, so we’ll just have to wait and see if anything is announced, and these leaks turn out to be accurate.
The most recent Minecraft sequel was Minecraft Legends – not a spin-off to Dungeons. This was met with mixed reviews when it went live in 2023, and support was pulled in January 2024, which was less than a year after launch.
Couple that with the upcoming Minecraft movie already frustrating fans with every new reveal, and the community could certainly do with some good news. A sequel to Dungeons could be just that, if Spicewood does indeed exist.
