Fortnite Update Adds New Lawless Exotic Weapons to the Black Market
Fortnite’s new update adds powerful Exotic weapons to the Black Market for players to purchase.
A new Fortnite update has dropped, one that adds a number of Exotic weapons to the game’s Black Market. While combat remains king in Fortnite, acquiring strong weapons plays a big role in survival, with the game’s most recent update allowing players to purchase some of its most powerful weapons. This comes at a price, of course, as players will need to save up their Dill Bits if they want to pad out their arsenal.
While Fortnite‘s collaborations and seasonal updates play a big role in the game’s popularity, the game’s selection of weapons continues to be one of its most unique and exciting elements. From simple shotguns and SMGs to fantastical swords and powerful gauntlets, players are always eagerly waiting to see what will be added next to Fortnite‘s ever-expanding collection of weaponry. The game’s current season has added a number of new features as well as weapons for players to use, though Fortnite‘s most recent update changes the way players acquire them.
As revealed in a new post by Epic Games, Fortnite‘s new update changes how players can get their hands on exotic weapons, with them now being part of the game’s “Black Market.” The Fortnite community is being asked to collectively drain Fletcher Kane of his resources by stealing Bars from his banks. Once this quest is complete, players will earn membership to the Outlaw faction, which grants them a keycard that can be used to access the backroom of various Black Markets around the island. Inside these backrooms, players will find a selection of Exotic weapons, which will grow as they complete more quests and upgrade their cards. These weapons range from the powerful Trinity Assault Rifle to Fortnite‘s new Pump & Dump duel wield Shotgun/SMG combo.
New Fortnite Update Adds Exotics to Black Market Backrooms
- Lawless Slap Cannon: Fire healing Slap at allies to restore their Health and Shield.
- Lawless Blink Pump & Dump: Grants a few seconds of Zero Point Dash after reloading.
- Lawless Stink Rifle: Unleashes a stink cloud on impact.
- Lawless Shockwave Rocket Launcher: Fires a projectile that explodes to impulse anyone nearby.
- Lawless Trinity Assault Rifle: Fires four shots in a triangle pattern, at the cost of a decreased fire rate.
- Lawless Heavy Impact Tracking Rifle: Briefly reveals the location of players and Chests around the impact point of the shots.
Once players have the Black Market backrooms open, they will find these Exotic weapons, which can be exchanged for Dill Bits as part of Fortnite‘s Black Market system. There are a number of different keycards for players to collect. Starting at the bottom is an Uncommon keycard, which is followed by a Rare, then Epic. Legendary keycards are the very top tier, guaranteeing a Legendary item will drop from chests in Black Market backrooms along with a Dill Bit.
If it wasn’t obvious, Fortnite‘s current Chapter 6 Season 2 seasonal update is all about crime. Officially titled “Lawless,’ players have been having fun exploring all there is to find in Fortnite‘s latest season, which launched at the end of February. Fortnite has continued to change, grow, and evolve with each passing season and update, with Chapter 6 Season 2 being an especially exciting one due to the arrival of the Black Market as well as new battle pass skins like Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat. Alongside new weapons like the Pump & Dump, changes to Fortnite‘s main island have also been made with the addition of new points of interest like Crime City and Shiny Shafts.
