Fortnite fan shares an image of Chewbacca wearing Crocs, causing a visual glitch with his furry legs.

One Fortnite fan shared an image of the Star Wars character Chewbacca wearing Crocs, which resulted in a visual glitch that made the Wookie’s furry legs look like a pair of pants. Fortnite has steadily been collaborating with more and more shoe companies, including iconic brands like Nike and Adidas.
Before they were in the game, Fortnite featured a collaboration with Crocs that included real-world designs based on some of the title’s most popular mascots. While many fans were excited about the crossover, some people did experience sticker shock after realizing the Classic Clog Crocs might cost $70 or more. In addition to the shoes, the company sold accessories called Jibbitz that could be attached to Crocs, acting as little ornaments that add customization to one’s footwear.
In a recent post on Reddit, I_Really_Like_Goats shared an image of Fortnite‘s Chewbacca wearing a pair of Crocs in the game, which resulted in his furry legs looking like a pair of pants. When characters equip Kicks, they remove whatever footwear was there previously. For some characters with bulky legs or boots, the result can appear to be a bit strange. With Chewbacca, equipping Crocs caused his hair to suddenly stop at his ankles, which makes his legs look like pants one might see attached to a costume. Because the Crocs don’t provide full coverage, it almost makes the Wookie appear as if he’s wearing brown socks underneath the clogs. This visual oddity seems to be less obvious on Nike and Adidas Kicks, as they cover the entirety of a character’s foot and ankle.
Fortnite’s Crocs Cause a Visual Glitch With Chewbacca
Unlike other licensed footwear, Fortnite‘s Crocs have edit styles that allow the player to add or remove Jibbitz and customize the back of the clogs. Some fans have criticized Epic Games for selling recolors of Kicks instead of adding edit styles, especially with its Nike and Adidas collaborations. Unfortunately, it seems as if gamers looking for more color variety with their Crocs may face the same issue, as the current edit styles only allow for the addition and removal of small accessories.
Since their release, Fortnite‘s Kicks have been criticized for having a costly price tag, with some running as high as 1,000 V-Bucks. Given that numerous skins only cost 800 V-Bucks, many players have pointed out that it’s possible for a skin to equip Kicks that are more expensive than the original outfit. While Epic Games has addressed some concerns by selling its original designs for 600 V-Bucks and even adding edit styles, many fans are still hoping to see prices decrease further overall. Despite a few hiccups with Kicks, a large portion of the community is feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
