Ubisoft reportedly has another Rainbow Six game in development.

Ubisoft is reportedly working on a turn-based Rainbow Six game. The unannounced title has been compared to XCOM and is said to be quite far into development.
This is according to Insider Gaming, which quotes two sources who claim to have knowledge of the project. They describe the new Rainbow Six game as having a top-down view, similar to Diablo and XCOM, as opposed to the shooter gameplay we’re used to in all the other installments.
New Rainbow Six Game Will Reportedly Be Turn-Based
Sources compare it to Diablo and XCOM
Gameplay-wise, the gist of it is compared to Rainbow Six: Siege, as the game will still revolve around saving hostages and choosing which operator to play as. However, with the turn-based element, actually going on these missions could feel very different. The sources add that the game is around 25-30 hours long, so it wouldn’t hog up as much of your time as Rainbow Six Siege.
“Just watch some XCOM gameplay if you want to get an idea,” one of the sources describes. “I’d say it’s an updated version of that with cinematic cutscenes and so on.”
If this premise appeals to you, then you might not have to wait much longer for a reveal – if the game is indeed real. The sources say that it could launch with another year or two of development, so if this is all accurate, we might not be too far away from an official reveal.
Right now, the only in-development Rainbow Six project that we know about is Rainbow Six Mobile, which is expected to launch at some point this year.
