Steam has recently listed Hollow Knight: Silksong among popular titles coming soon to the platform, and this excited some fans online, who are already theorizing when the game will finally be released. Hollow Knight: Silksong is among the most eagerly awaited games of 2025, and fans are really curious to discover when the platformer will finally come out.

Planned as the sequel to one of the best Metroidvania games of all time, Hollow Knight: Silksong was originally announced in 2019. However, the long wait has often disappointed fans, as some gamers cling to any piece of information to guess when the title will finally be released, only to have their theories proven wrong. After so many disappointments, the recent Nintendo Direct was an exciting time for Hollow Knight: Silksong fans, as the game was confirmed to release in 2025.

Now, some players have spotted Hollow Knight: Silksong appearing among games coming up late in April 2025 on Steam. According to a fan called AlphaBlazerGaming, Silksong currently appears among the popular upcoming games on Steam, and it’s between two titles scheduled to release on April 29, RockStars! and Eydigard. The news has excited fans, as this would mean that the game could be out in around three weeks, but others remained skeptical, including AlphaBlazerGaming themselves, as some gamers believe that an April release is “too soon.”

Steam Lists Hollow Knight: Silksong As Coming Soon

Unfortunately, the idea that it’s too soon for a Hollow Knight: Silksong release is credible. A recent leak claims that Silksong will appear at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 8, together with other titles such as the Gears of War Collection, Minecraft Dungeons 2, Ninja Gaiden 4, and the Persona 4 remake. This means that it’s highly unlikely that the title will come out before June.

In any case, this is still good news for Hollow Knight: Silksong fans, especially considering how silent Team Cherry has been about the game. After the Nintendo Direct, Team Cherry spoke about Hollow Knight, saying how Nintendo was important in shipping the first game, but still didn’t share a release date for the sequel.

Despite the silence, more information about the game keeps surfacing online. For example, new screenshots of Hollow Knight: Silksong appeared recently. These images have shown the city of Bellhart, the Lace fight, and the game’s starting room. While it’s unfortunate that gamers don’t have even more information about Silksong, at least the community seems hopeful that it will really come out soon this time.
