While the latest leak doesn’t clarify everything, it does likely confirm that the Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion remaster is coming and will be released on multiple platforms.

As such, it’s unclear if it’ll take the opportunity to modernize Oblivion‘s combat or make any other quality-of-life improvements, but the game certainly looks better than its original 2006 release.

Earlier rumors suggest that there will be little to no gap between the Oblivion remaster’s announcement and release, with Bethesda possibly even planning a shadow drop.

The leaked images and details also don’t confirm any release windows, but the fact that they prematurely went live could suggest that day is coming soon. Gaming insider Jeff Grubb has said that the Oblivion remaster could drop during the week of April 21, which is in line with The Elder Scrolls Online‘s anniversary event. These specifics remain a bit of a mystery for now, but fans at least have confirmation that Oblivion will finally get new life breathed into it before long.
