Players can earn the Beetriz pet during a new Twitch Drop celebrating World of Warcraft’s 11.1.5 update.

Blizzard has revealed a new Twitch Drop that World of Warcraft players can earn to celebrate the upcoming Patch 11.1.5 launch. The Beetriz battle pet, a yellow beetle companion, will be available to World of Warcraft players who connect their Twitch and Battle.net accounts and watch at least four hours of content on participating streams.
World of Warcraft‘s Patch 11.1.5 will go live on April 22 following server maintenance. Dubbed Nightfall, the 11.1.5 update will include class balance tuning in both PvE and PvP content, new world activities, and quality-of-life additions. One of the major features of Patch 11.1.5 is the Cooldown Manager, which may serve as an in-game alternative to mods like WeakAuras. After activating the Cooldown Manager in the Options menu, new bars will show on the user interface. These bars can then be customized to tell players when powerful spells and abilities, such as the Paladin’s Avenging Wrath or the Warrior’s Recklessness, are ready.
Ahead of Nightfall’s April 22 launch, World of Warcraft has revealed a new companion pet for players to add to their menageries. World of Warcraft players can add the Beetriz battle pet to their collections by participating in an upcoming Twitch Drops campaign that begins on Tuesday, April 22, at 1:00 PM Eastern and ends on Tuesday, May 20, at 1:00 PM Eastern. Beetriz is a yellow and black beetle that often gets mistaken for a bumblebee.
World of Warcraft Adds Beetriz Pet as a Twitch Drop
- World of Warcraft players can earn the Beetriz pet as a Twitch Drops reward once Patch 11.1.5 is released.
- The Twitch Drops campaign runs from April 22 to May 20.
- Beetriz will be added to players’ collections after watching four hours of content from participating channels.
- Players must connect their Twitch and Battle.net accounts to earn rewards via Twitch Drops.
According to Blizzard, players who watch at least four hours of World of Warcraft content from participating Twitch channels will automatically have Beetriz sent to their Collections tab. Players can also watch different channels at different times to get the four hours of watch time required to obtain the new pet while the Twitch Drops campaign is active.
Much like Tock the Clocker Spaniel and other battle pets obtained via Twitch Drops, World of Warcraft players must connect their Twitch and Battle.net accounts before any watch time can be accrued towards the new reward. Players can do this from their Battle.net account page on a web browser and by selecting the option to link with Twitch. Additionally, Beetriz is exclusive to The War Within and is not available in World of Warcraft: Classic.
Between the new Twitch Drop and various rewards that World of Warcraft players can earn via the Nightfall campaign, Patch 11.1.5 will have plenty of content for fans to consume. What Blizzard will do during Patch 11.1.5 to keep the momentum going remains to be seen.
