The Division 2’s Battle for Brooklyn DLC is reportedly targeting a late May 2025 release.

The next DLC for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is targeting a late May 2025 release, according to a new report from a well-known industry insider. The same source also shared some additional information about the upcoming The Division 2 expansion, including its alleged price and scope.
March 15 marked the sixth anniversary of The Division 2‘s release on PC and last-generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles. Although Massive Entertainment is no longer churning out large-scale expansions for its co-op shooter, it’s still supporting the game. The latest The Division 2 season, First Rogue, launched in June 2024. Massive Entertainment’s original plan was to follow up on that move with a new DLC in late 2024, but that content drop was ultimately delayed into 2025.
Insider Gaming‘s Tom Henderson now reports that the game’s next DLC is finally scheduled for release this spring. Titled Battle for Brooklyn, the upcoming expansion is planned to launch around late May 2025, Henderson said during the latest episode of the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast. The long-time Ubisoft insider also suggested that the delayed The Division 2 DLC will be relatively limited in scope. “It’s probably going to be the smallest one in the franchise,” Henderson said, adding that Battle for Brooklyn will retail for $15.
The Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn Release Date Announcement Is Likely Coming Soon

Massive Entertainment recently promised to share more details about The Division 2: Battle for Brooklyn on April 23. The upcoming showcase seems as good of a time as any for the developer to reveal the official release date of the upcoming expansion, especially if Henderson is right in believing the DLC is targeting a late May 2025 launch. Battle for Brooklyn is likely to arrive around the same time as the game’s Year 6 Season 4. The current season, Burden of Truth, kicked off on February 25.
Henderson’s newly shared release window prediction aligns with some recent fan theories about the timing of Battle for Brooklyn. Given Massive’s history of announcing major content drops four to five weeks in advance, some players have interpreted the announcement of the April 23 showcase as a strong indicator that the next The Division 2 DLC will launch between May 27 and June 10.
It’s currently unclear how much longer The Division 2 will continue receiving updates. Its original content roadmap was set to end in late 2020 but was extended after the game proved more popular than Ubisoft expected. Even if no further major updates are planned, smaller additions—like The Division 2‘s recent STALKER 2 crossover—still seem possible in the foreseeable future.
