Fortnite Leak Reveals Another Major Sports Collaboration
Epic Games may be introducing NBA-themed skins like Courtside Axo and Styx to Fortnite soon.

A prominent Fortnite leaker claims to have found evidence of a new collaboration between the popular battle royale and the NBA, which could be coming to the game’s Item Shop in the near future. Fortnite is currently nearing the end of Chapter 6 Season 2, which brought back the fan-favorite character Midas in its battle pass.
Epic Games recently made an appearance at Star Wars Celebration Japan and announced that a full Star Wars season of Fortnite will be launching on May 2. The major collaboration will include a battle pass, cosmetics, vehicles, map locations, and even a live event to cap off the season. The teaser trailer for the new season, titled Galactic Battle, showed off skins for Darth Jar Jar, Emperor Palpatine, and Mace Windu. Players can also expect to see mash-up skins, like a remix of Cuddle Team Leader dressed like a Wookie.
In a recent post on Twitter, ShiinaBR revealed that another NBA collaboration could be coming to Fortnite‘s Item Shop soon, as two new skins were found within the game’s files. According to the popular leaker, Courtside Axo and Styx will be available for purchase, and they’re sporting some serious NBA gear. Courtside Axo has bright orange skin and can be seen wearing a blue coat over a white shirt. The coat is covered in the logos of a wide variety of NBA teams, meaning the crossover is likely intended to be a celebration of the NBA as a whole. Similarly, the new Fishstick skin, Styx, is also sporting a blue coat adorned with the logos of multiple NBA teams. However, Styx’s skin also seems to have taken on the appearance of a basketball. A recent Twitter post also showed off red edit styles for the incoming skins.
Fortnite May Be Getting New NBA Skins
Epic Games has a long history of collaborating with the NBA, as popular players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James are already in Fortnite. While the leaked crossover doesn’t feature a specific player, it will include pickaxes, back blings, and emotes to accompany the release of the Courtside Axo and Styx skins. There’s no official word on when the skins will release, but leakers seem to believe they could come to the Item Shop as soon as tonight.
According to another leak from ShiinaBR, Fortnite might collaborate with Knight Rider, a popular television series from the 80’s. While they were unable to confirm the size or scope of the crossover, they seemed to believe the collaboration would be focused on the iconic car K.I.T.T., which is already available in Rocket League. With a whole new season just around the corner and even more content on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
