2016 Game Delisted from Steam

Big Buck Hunter Arcade has been delisted from Steam without explanation.

Big Buck Hunter Arcade has recently been delisted from Steam. Developed and published by GameMill Entertainment, this Steam game was an arcade hunting game that focused on shooting wild animals to score as many points as possible.

Big Buck Hunter Arcade was originally released in 2016, and the hunting game was previously available for both PC and consoles such as the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The title had first-person shooting mechanics and a wide variety of environments and targets, with a total of 30 hunting levels and over 20 distinct animals. Gamers who managed to get high scores could also show off their prowess using a leaderboard system. Before being delisted, Big Buck Hunter Arcade had a Mixed reception on Steam, as only 66% of the players enjoyed it.

Recently, GameMill Entertainment delisted Big Buck Hunter Arcade, from Steam, making the title no longer purchasable on the platform. Unfortunately, GameMill did not explain why the game was being delisted, only announcing that Big Buck Hunter Arcade would be removed from sale. However, it’s possible that the decision was motivated by licensing issues, as often happens with games being delisted from Steam. It’s important to note that any gamer who purchased Big Buck Hunter Arcade on Steam can still access the game. At the time of this report, the only place where a PC copy of the title can be purchased is Fanatical, which still seems to be selling Steam keys for the game for $7.89 at a 21% discount.

Big Buck Hunter Arcade Has Been Delisted From Steam

Big Buck Hunter Arcade is just one of multiple games to be delisted from the popular PC gaming platform in 2025. A few months ago, for example, Realm of Ink was delisted from Steam, too. Fortunately, the game eventually came back, and it can still be purchased on the platform again. However, gamers should not be hopeful for Big Buck Hunter Arcade’s return, as it seems unlikely that the title will make a comeback.

While it’s always disappointing to see games being delisted from Steam, it’s also inevitable that it will sometimes happen, considering how huge the platform has become over the years. Earlier this year, Steam surpassed 40 million concurrent users, setting a new milestone for the PC gaming platform, and in 2024 alone, over 18,000 games were released there. Hopefully, Big Buck Hunter Arcade will return to the platform in the future, though.
