A Switch 2 version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero has reportedly been rated in Saudi Arabia.

Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero is reportedly on its way to the Switch 2, according to a recently surfaced age rating. This purported port would potentially be a big win for the Switch 2‘s fighting game library.

Developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai NamcoDragon Ball: Sparking Zero was originally released for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC in October 2024. It immediately established itself as a major hit, selling 3 million copies within 24 hours of hitting the store shelves. As of February 2025, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero surpassed 5 million lifetime sales, making it one of the most successful fighting games in recent history.

More Consoles And Game News

The 2024 title is now said to be on its way to Nintendo‘s next console, with Twitter user Gmedia_Games reporting that an unannounced Switch 2 version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero was recently rated in Saudi Arabia. The game was reportedly classified as suitable for ages 12 and up, which is consistent with its prior ratings. Since Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero isn’t among the games that have been confirmed for the Switch 2 yet, the chances of it arriving as part of the console’s day-one library appear minimal. However, the very existence of this rating indicates that its Switch 2 port may not be far away.

Bandai Namco’s Switch 2 Lineup Is Already Looking Strong

Even without Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Bandai Namco’s Switch 2 lineup is already looking quite strong, with the company previously confirming several titles for Nintendo’s upcoming console. The most high-profile of those is the Switch 2 version of Elden Ring, which is still without a concrete release date. Tamagotchi Plaza is also on its way to the Switch successor, being scheduled to launch on June 27. Dark Pac-Man spin-off Shadow Labyrinth is then set to release on July 18. Bandai Namco is presently also working on Kirby Air Riders, which will be published by Nintendo.

This newly emerged age rating isn’t the first sign pointing to a potential Switch 2 version of Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, as this port has already been rumored since March 2025. Should Bandai Namco’s title appear on Nintendo’s next console in the near future, it would likely immediately establish itself as one of the platform’s most compelling choices for fighting game fans. So far, the biggest fighting game that’s been confirmed for the Switch 2 is Street Fighter 6, which will be available on the upcoming device from day one.
