Marvel Rivals will make its season 0 battle pass available again for new players.
Marvel Rivals launched with quite a bang. The unique art style, balanced character synergy, and plethora of Marvel characters set the game up for success. The hero shooter shaped hole that Overwatch 2 left behind also helped, as disillusioned players jumped ship for NetEase’s version. It’s hard to run out of material with the entire Marvel pantheon at your back.
Of course, the varied selection of characters, along with their cakey backsides also helped. However, Marvel Rivals also focussed on one aspect that many live service games fumble – making sure the battle pass isn’t predatory. At launch, players were happy to put in the hours to get unique skins for their mains with the season 0 battle pass. It seems those of you who joined the party late will get the chance to unlock the original battle pass as well.

Marvel Rivals Makes First Battle Pass Available Again
NetEase has a reputation for always listening to the community, whether it’s about the mid-season rank reset or cosmetics not looking as advertised. In another example of this, Marvel Rivals has made the original season pass available again for those who missed it the first time.
“Recently, our community has been buzzing with requests to bring back previous season passes – especially the one that started it all, S0 Battle Pass,” said NetEase in a recent blog post. “Some of you missed out during that epic Season 0, while others who joined later have been eager for a chance to experience it. We’ve heard your call, and we’re answering it! With that said, after the May 15th update, we’re excited to announce a limited-time return of the S0 Battle Pass!”
You’ll now be able to unlock the original alternate cosmetics that were available for the heroes at launch. However, NetEase did mention that while older battle passes will be available in the future, they will cost 20 percent more than the original price. Considering how balanced the battle pass system is, it shouldn’t be too hard to unlock one of these skins if you really want them.
The season 0 battle pass includes some great cosmetics, like Doctor Strange’s God of Magic costume, Black Panther’s Cosmic Claw costume, and the fan-favourite Galactic Wings for Mantis.
