Lost in Random: The Eternal Die launches on Xbox Game Pass day-one on June 17.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die has been confirmed for a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass on June 17. The recent announcement of the game’s release date means players on Microsoft‘s subscription service won’t have to wait long to dive into Lost in Random: The Eternal Die, the next chapter in publisher EA’s action-adventure series.

Somewhat of a departure from the mechanics of the original Lost in Random released in September 2021, a genre shift in Lost in Random: The Eternal Die will see it take on additional roguelite elements in addition to the last installment’s action-adventure and RPG features. Director Martin Storm has explained that the randomness of the new elements will fit nicely into the upcoming game’s world.

A new trailer for the second installment of Lost in Random reveals the game’s launch date of June 17 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The development team behind Lost in Random: The Eternal Die had already revealed its day-one Game Pass inclusion plans at Gamescom 2024. Xbox took the opportunity to increase its presence at that show in Germany with promises of its biggest booth ever, which included nearly 40 different hands-on previews of upcoming games. Lost in Random: The Eternal Die wasn’t among those included in that list, but the day-one announcement in an official livestream from the event was still enough to attract the attention of many fans.

Lost in Random: The Eternal Die Arrives on Game Pass in June 2025

While the game will still feature the dice-based combat that its predecessor became known for, the change in genre isn’t the only big difference that fans can expect to see in the upcoming release. Fans of the first game should be prepared for Lost in Random: The Eternal Die‘s unusual protagonist choice as well, as it will place them in the role of Aleksandra, the cruel Queen of Random who stood against sisters Odd and Even in the first game. Voice actor Elsie Lovelock will reprise her role for the upcoming game, which narrative designer Oskar Hanska describes as less of a direct sequel and more like an additional story set in the same world.

Less than halfway through 2025, this year has already been huge for day-one releases on Xbox Game Pass. Celebrated games like AvowedSouth of MidnightDoom: The Dark Ages, and Blue Prince have all made their Game Pass debuts at launch, and more than 20 more games are slated for day-one releases on Game Pass from June through year’s end.
