Nintendo Switch 2 early adopters have yet another launch game to check out, as Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is now confirmed for the new console’s release date of June 5. The Nintendo Switch 2 launch lineup so far consists of 24 games, including a mix of exclusives and plenty of third-party, multiplatform support.
The Switch 2 will launch with five exclusive games on June 5, including Mario Kart World, Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, Square Enix‘s Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster, racing game Fast Fusion, and Konami’s Survival Kids. The Switch 2 launch lineup will be bolstered by multi-plat games like Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Sonic X Shadow Generations, Hogwarts Legacy, and others. And now fans can add yet another multiplatform launch title for the Switch 2 to the lineup.
As reported by Nintendo Life, it’s been confirmed that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time will be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2. Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has earned strong reviews from fans and critics alike, with the cozy game proving to be a fast commercial success. Since the Switch 2 is backward compatible with the Switch 1, fans could have already played the Switch 1 version on the new console, but Fantasy Life i on Switch 2 does feature some notable improvements that make it a worthwhile investment for early adopters.

Fantasy Life i on Switch 2 will feature faster load times, improved graphics, and improved frame rate. So, while the content in the game will be identical to the Switch 1 release, those that pick up Fantasy Life i‘s native Switch 2 version can look forward to an overall better experience compared to the Switch 1 counterpart. Those that already own Fantasy Life i on Switch 1 can take advantage of a $2.59 upgrade path when the Switch 2 version launches on June 5.
The Switch 2 launch lineup is looking incredibly diverse, and it will be interesting to see if anything else is added to it between now and June 5. There are rumors that a Nintendo Direct may be happening soon, but it’s unclear if it will take place before or after the Switch 2’s June 5 release date.
