Rumor: Fortnite’s Next Event May Change Players’ Skins
Fortnite’s upcoming Death Star Sabotage event may turn all skins into Stormtroopers without helmets on June 7.

A popular Fortnite leaker has revealed that players’ skins may be transformed into Stormtroopers without helmets during the popular battle royale’s upcoming Death Star Sabotage event on June 7. Fortnite recently launched its first Star Wars-themed mini-season called Galactic Battle, which fully changed the game’s loot pool to include a wide variety of blasters and iconic weapons like lightsabers.
The Star Wars mini-season has been popular with many fans of the franchise, but it hasn’t been without a bit of controversy. Fortnite recently released a Darth Jar Jar skin, which upset a large portion of the community. While many people like the skin itself, the ability to purchase it requires players to earn over one million XP. A lot of fans who simply wanted to purchase the skin were disappointed, as some people don’t have the time to earn so much XP for various reasons. Epic Games also released a classic version of Jar Jar Binks, which also caused some players to complain. Numerous people called the company greedy and suggested that Darth Jar Jar and Jar Jar Binks should have been a single skin with multiple edit styles.
In a recent post on Twitter, the prominent leaker Loolo_WRLD stated that Fortnite‘s upcoming Death Star Sabotage live event, which is scheduled to take place on June 7 at 2 PM ET, will turn all skins into Stormtroopers. However, this doesn’t mean gamers will be playing as a default Stormtrooper. Instead, whichever skin the gamer chooses will be wearing a Stormtrooper outfit without a helmet. According to the leaker, special modifications have been made for certain skins. This is likely a call back to the first Star Wars film where Han Solo and Luke Skywalker can be seen sneaking onto the Death Star disguised as Stormtroopers.
Fortnite Players May Become Stormtroopers During the Death Star Sabotage Live Event
Fortnite‘s Galactic Battle mini-season is scheduled to end right after the Death Star Sabotage live event, though there’s no official word on how long the title will be offline. While many fans are expecting to be able to play Chapter 6 Season 3 later in the day on June 7, the major patch could cause downtime to go into June 8.
Epic Games recently teased the theme of Chapter 6 Season 3 of Fortnite, which is rumored to be focused on superheroes. However, according to leakers, the season is said to include a wide variety of original designs, which is different from some previous seasons that featured a full collaboration with Marvel. It is also rumored that the upcoming season may include a crossover with James Gunn’s upcoming Superman film, which is scheduled to release on July 11. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
