March 15 is the last day to play three highly rated Xbox Game Pass titles that have been on Microsoft’s subscription service since 2022.

March 15 is the last day for Xbox Game Pass members to play Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered and two other titles with either “Very” or “Overwhelmingly Positive” Steam reviews. This wave of departures is solely comprised of titles that have been part of the Xbox Game Pass catalog since 2022.
Microsoft’s subscription service typically loses a few games every two weeks, in the middle and at the tail end of each month. The latest such catalog update happened on February 29, when Atlus’s Soul Hackers 2 left Xbox Game Pass.
Thrice as many departures are imminent this time around, with Microsoft’s subscription library now being about to lose Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered, Hardspace: Shipbreaker, and Shredders. As per usual, this catalog update has been communicated in advance, with Xbox Game Pass confirming its mid-March 2024 departures two weeks ahead of time.
Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving March 15
- Hardspace: Shipbreaker
- Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered
- Shredders
Xbox Game Pass members who fancy themselves achievement hunters likely won’t be able to complete any of these titles by the end of the day if they haven’t started them already; snowboarding sim Shredders is by far the least content-packed of the departing bunch, yet completing it to collect all trophies still requires roughly ten hours of playtime. Shredders is also the only member of the outgoing trio to have “Overwhelmingly Positive” reviews on Steam, while the other two games are above the “Very Positive” threshold on Valve’s storefront.
While the space work sim Hardspace: Shipbreaker and Shredders were both day-one Xbox Game Pass releases, Level-5’s JRPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch Remastered only made it to the service three years following its 2019 debut. Microsoft’s subscribers who didn’t get around to playing Hardspace: Shipbreaker but find its premise interesting might want to take note of the fact that Xbox Game Pass recently added Space Engineers. While not identical to the departing work sim, Space Engineers might still scratch a similar itch, and will almost certainly remain part of the XGP library for the foreseeable future, having just been added to it in late February.
These imminent departures notwithstanding, March 2024 has so far been quite a busy month for Microsoft‘s subscription service, which has received half a dozen games over the last two weeks. At least four more titles are coming to Xbox Game Pass by month’s end, though Microsoft is likely to announce even more of them in the days ahead. Likewise, the company is soon expected to reveal which titles will depart from its subscription catalog on March 31.
