Adding to the changes brought in Update 1.6, Stardew Valley’s creator reveals another patch that will finally bring a highly requested feature.

In addition to the major content changes of Stardew Valley Update 1.6, Patch 1.6.3 will finally allow players to access Clint’s shop and geode processing while a tool is being upgraded. Stardew Valley Patch 1.6.2 has already been released, and creator Eric “ConcernedApe” Barone is quickly rolling out even more updates.
First released in 2016, Stardew Valley is a life-sim game that features farming, fishing, mining, and more, as players enjoy a quaint life in the countryside of Pelican Town. Fans have adored the game for its wholesome storytelling and relatable characters and Update 1.6 has been the biggest patch to date for the indie game. With players still experiencing the new content for the first time, many are now excited for one highly requested feature to finally be added to Stardew Valley.
ConcernedApe has revealed that Patch 1.6.3 will finally allow Stardew Valley players to purchase materials and get their geodes processed by Clint while their tools are being upgraded. Tool upgrades in Stardew Valley are key to progressing and building a bigger and better farm, but the time needed to improve these tools was often a major inconvenience. Previously, if the blacksmith Clint was working on a tool upgrade, players would be unable to access his shop to purchase coal and other materials, and they would also be unable to get their valuable geodes processed. This forced players to hold onto geodes, clogging up their inventory or storage chests, leaving some players in a pickle if they desperately needed to purchase key materials from the blacksmith. With Patch 1.6.3, fans will finally be able to get their tools upgraded without losing access to Clint’s other services.

New Content In Stardew Valley Update 1.6

Some of the additions include over 100 new lines of dialogue, seasonal outfits for NPCs, wearable hats for pets, drinkable mayonnaise and jellies, improvements to artisan goods, and fresh end-game content. The big update led to a massive spike in Stardew Valley players, breaking the game’s previous concurrent player count. Fans have praised ConcernedApe for the quick release of multiple patches to solve any issues with Update 1.6, along with the inclusion of fan-requested features like the change to Clint’s operations. ConcernedApe has assured fans that, should any other bugs or problems arise, more patches will be on the way.

From NPC improvements to a new Meadowlands Farm type, Stardew Valley continues to deliver exciting content for players to enjoy.
