With a runtime of over 26 minutes, the leaked footage spoils a lot of the game’s story, but not all of it, because it lacks audio.

All Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 campaign cutscenes have surfaced online over the second weekend of August 2024. The footage reportedly originates from a recently leaked Black Ops 6 beta build.
Screenshots and gameplay videos from the 2024 Call of Duty entry have been circulating on social media for a while now. Some of the most recent such materials originated from a leaked development build of the Black Ops 6 PS4 version, revealing redesigned menus and a new Gunsmith UI, among other aspects of the upcoming shooter.
Black Ops 6 Campaign Cutscenes Datamined Months Ahead of Release, But Without Audio
An even bigger leak happened on August 10, when Twitter user Kivikou shared the entirety of the game’s campaign cutscenes. Although the footage quickly found itself scrubbed from the site due to a copyright takedown by Activision, its mirrors are already all over the internet. The leaked cutscenes have a combined runtime of 26 minutes and 19 seconds. And while the footage naturally spoils the story of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 campaign, it doesn’t do so entirely because it lacks audio, which makes some scenes difficult to fully comprehend.

There are several plausible reasons why the datamined cutscenes lack sound. The most obvious explanation is that the associated audio files simply weren’t present in the PS4 version of the game that leaked online. Although Kivikou did not outright claim they used this beta build to extract the footage, Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson reports that was the case, citing unnamed sources. Audio files are often among the last assets to be finalized during development, especially when it comes to titles such as Call of Duty games that offer multiple localized dubs. It is hence quite possible that the leaked build did not contain them, as Black Ops 6 is still ten weeks away from release. Alternatively, the dataminer might have simply missed them, as game audio files are commonly stored separately from their video counterparts.
More Black Ops 6 Leaks Could Be Coming Soon
The leak itself can ultimately be pinned on the Call of Duty HQ app, whose PS4 version was recently updated with the Black Ops 6 beta build. This allowed people with jailbroken consoles to access the test version of the game and start poring over its files. Aside from cutscenes and menus, this beta build is also believed to be the source of the complete list of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 achievements that leaked online immediately afterward.
With the leaked PS4 build being over 23GB in size, it’s quite possible that tinkerers will find even more data to pull from it in the days ahead. The game itself is slated to hit the market on October 25. A Black Ops 6 open multiplayer beta is scheduled to run from September 6 through 9.
