Xbox Game Pass Confirms 2 More Day 1 Games for 2025
Xbox Game Pass offers day one releases, allowing subscribers to access multiple new games every month.
Two more games have been confirmed as day one Xbox Game Pass releases. Day one games are the big selling point of Xbox Game Pass. In exchange for a relatively small subscription fee, Game Pass subscribers are treated to multiple day one games every month. Someone that plays a lot of these day one games will effectively have Game Pass pay for itself, as they never need to purchase the games outright.
There have already been quite a few notable day one games added to Xbox Game Pass in 2025. January 2025 ended with the likes of Sniper Elite: Resistance, Eternal Strands, and Citizen Sleeper 2 added to Xbox Game Pass, with the latter standing as one of the highest-rated new game releases of the year so far. February will see highly-anticipated day one game Avowed added to Xbox Game Pass on February 18, while Atomfall is coming on March 27, South of Midnight is joining the service on April 8, Commandos: Origins is coming on April 9, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is launching April 24, and Doom: The Dark Ages is debuting on May 15.
Now Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to two more day one games. Shortly after they were announced as a day one PS Plus Extra games, the upcoming Blue Prince and Abiotic Factor have also been confirmed as day one Xbox Game Pass releases. Blue Prince is a first-person puzzler that is set to launch at some point this spring, while Abiotic Factor is a 6-player survival game releasing this summer.

Another day one Xbox Game Pass game with a release window is Ninja Gaiden 4, set to launch at some point this fall. Ninja Gaiden 4‘s announcement was the big surprise at the latest Xbox Developer Direct event, and it has quickly become one of the most exciting upcoming day one Xbox Game pass games for many.
There are other huge day one Game Pass titles that are expected to drop in 2025 as well, like the Fable reboot from Playground Games, and Soulslike action-RPG Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Assuming there are no major delays, 2025 has the potential to be one of the most exciting years for Game Pass to date.
