As a lot of you may already know, or if you don’t, I am a gamer at heart. I have always been interested in games, gaming and playing and reading about gaming news. I had originally set up sakeinsgaming.com to be my personal website for my gaming adventures to build a community and have fun with others who are also gamers.
In the couple of years of having this site, it has had it’s ups and downs and I believe that is because I strayed away from just being who I am, a gamer and a streamer.
My original reason for getting into streaming was because I was idoling some great streamer of the game I loved to play Eve Online. I had started streaming, built a small community and was having a ton of fun. I also ran fund raisers for the one cause I strongly supported which is for veterans and there are a lot of veterans within Eve Online. I think I had raised almost $5000 in total while I was streaming.
The unfortunate part is that I had gotten completely burned out of playing Eve Online. I had started to try to stream other games, but the impact wasn’t what I was looking for and really couldn’t get back into my groove anymore. I had basically given up on streaming and building that community. It has been years since I have really streamed Eve Online and I may start to stream it again once I regain my muscle memory from that game.
In the mean time, I am going to go back to streaming again. I am going to have a regular schedule again and I would love to have not only part of the old community to come back to watch and interact, I would love to start seeing and interacting with new people who also have the same passion as I do for gaming.
I will be changing my logo (yes, once again!) to truly reflect another passion I have which is Ancient Egyptian lore and teachings. I will have a great new logo focused on Anubis the Egyptian God.
Anubis is the ancient Egyptian god of mummification and the afterlife, often depicted with the head of a jackal. He was believed to guide the souls of the dead through the underworld and oversee the “Weighing of the Heart” ceremony, where a person’s heart was judged against a feather to determine their worthiness for the afterlife.
So with that being said, I will have a new logo featuring Anubis and I will be setting up a schedule very soon and I will be looking forward to streaming again and getting to know you all once again!
