A new leak implies that Vans footwear will appear in Fortnite on the evening of April 14.
Fortnite is unexpectedly partnering up with Vans and bringing the popular skating brand to the game with a new collection of Kicks. Fortnite offers a wide variety of cosmetic items, allowing players to customize their characters from head to toe. With skins, gamers can select their character’s outfit and model. Back Blings equip characters with quirky items on their back, from pets to standard backpacks. Pickaxes modify the appearance of the player’s harvesting tool, which can also be used as a melee weapon. These are the most visible cosmetic items, but gamers can also select the appearance of their cars, gliding contrails, musical instruments, and, more recently, their character’s shoes.
While Kicks are a somewhat controversial cosmetic in Fortnite, many players have grown used to the idea of being able to customize their in-game shoes and have completely embraced this type of cosmetic item. There are the usual silly options, which feature shoes inspired by classic Fortnite characters or other strange themes, but there are also real-world shoes that have become part of the game as a result of collaborations with known brands, making it possible for fans to have their characters wear their favorite pairs of sneakers in-game.
Vans is one of the biggest skating brands in the world, and it’s finally coming to Fortnite with an awesome Kicks collection. This collaboration happened seemingly out of the blue, as there was no indication of the two names coming together at any point in time, and now leakers indicate that the fresh Kicks will hit the shop tonight, April 14. Players can expect four pairs of Vans shoes to become available in the Item Shop once it refreshes, and according to the reports, each set will cost 800 V-Bucks.

After looking at the game files and assets, leakers say that four of the most popular Vans shoes will be the ones coming to the shop, and the models are Premium Old Skool, Classic Slip-On, Sk8-Hi, and Authentic. A recent leak mentioned Tony Hawk Pro Skater characters could be joining the roster of skins in Fortnite, and since Vans is known for its skating gear, there could be a connection here.
The number of cosmetic collaborations in Fortnite is constantly increasing, whether they’re new or repeat collabs.
