Death Stranding 2 Reveals New World Tour Release Event
A 12-city Death Stranding 2: On the Beach world tour will begin June 8 in Los Angeles.

To celebrate the highly anticipated release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Kojima Productions has announced a 12-city world tour scheduled to begin in Los Angeles in June. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released for the PlayStation 5 on June 26, with countless players eager to step back into the shoes of Sam Porter Bridges.
The follow-up to Kojima Productions‘ debut game promises to be a heavy hitter, with Death Stranding 2 featuring new cast members, fresh mechanics, and enhanced visuals. The title’s release date remained a mystery until March, though Hideo Kojima recently shared that its June launch date was decided long ago, with Sony carefully selecting a release window that wouldn’t overlap with other major titles. The PlayStation 5-exclusive is already drumming up plenty of positive attention, with previews highlighting the similarities with Kojima’s previous title, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. Now, a unique new event invites fans to commemorate Death Stranding 2‘s launch in a major way.
In a new Twitter post, Kojima Productions announced that the Death Stranding World Strand Tour 2 would begin in Los Angeles on June 8 during the 2025 Summer Game Fest. From there, the event will travel to 11 cities worldwide, including Sydney, Tokyo, Paris, London, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Riyadh, São Paulo, and Lucca. Fans can expect “special guests and events,” and more details about each tour stop will be revealed at a later date. Curiously, the majority of the tour will take place after the game has already been released. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach recently went gold, meaning that its June 26 launch date is almost guaranteed, with no delays expected.

The latter comes with a special collector’s box, a 15” Magellan Man statue, a Dollman figurine, art cards, a letter from Hideo Kojima, and several in-game items, along with 48-hour early access.
One of the talking points currently surrounding the sequel is Death Stranding 2‘s unique approach to boss fights, with players able to skip major battles without missing any of the title’s story.
