Marvel Rivals Leak Reveals New Magneto Skin

A prominent leaker reveals a new Magneto skin in new Marvel Rivals footage.

A popular Marvel Rivals leaker has released gameplay footage showing a new skin for the hero Magneto, which could be coming to the game very soon. NetEase Games has been busy adding fresh content to Marvel Rivals and even recently revealed that it will be collaborating with Marvel Snap, Marvel Future Fight, and Marvel Puzzle Quest. While little is known about the crossover, NetEase Games has promised to reveal more details soon.

Magneto is a Vanguard in Marvel Rivals, which means he’s there to soak up damage and keep his teammates out of trouble. To help him in this effort, he has two main abilities that allow him to block incoming attacks. First, Magneto can create a large rectangular shield in front of him. While the shield only lasts for a short duration of time, it blocks all incoming ranged damage. The fan-favorite mutant can also create a bubble that makes a character impervious to all attacks, which he can choose to place on himself or a nearby teammate. Vanguards fill an essential role within any team’s composition, but some fans feel the game needs more options when it comes to the sturdy heroes. Fortunately, a recent leak revealed that The Thing may come to Marvel Rivals as a Vanguard in the near future.

Prominent leaker RivalsInfo recently posted gameplay footage on Twitter of a new skin for Magneto. The video shows the hero in what looks to be military regalia, sporting a black and gold outfit with large epaulets. Magneto doesn’t wear a helmet with this costume, which is very unusual for the mutant leader. From the back, players can see a flowing crimson cape embroidered with a gold design along the edges. RivalsInfo also recently leaked a Wasteland Hulk skin for Bruce Banner in Marvel Rivals.

While there’s no way of knowing when these costumes might make their debut, some fans are speculating that players could see them alongside the launch of Season 1. As of writing, it’s unclear if the new skins will replace old ones within the game’s shop or simply add to existing offerings.
