A new Call of Duty leak has provided new intel on 2025s game, including a massive multiplayer twist.

WARNING
The leaks come from an unverified source, though some of them have been confirmed before by Insider Gaming. As such, take them with a grain of salt.
For some time now, we’ve known, via Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, that this year’s Call of Duty title will be a direct sequel to Black Ops 2, marking the first “futuristic” COD title since 2018. Its Zombies mode will also seemingly have a Tranzit-like system for players to explore with.
Note
The same Reddit user also shared details about a potential return of Prototype.
Now, via a Reddit user who claims to have taken part in a study group, more details about the next Call of Duty title have been revealed, including an intriguing twist on the franchise’s multiplayer.
You’ll Seemingly Be Rewarded For Having Played Black Ops 6
To start, many of the details shared by the Reddit user line up with previous reporting from Henderson, such as the fact that the game will be a follow-up to Black Ops 2 and that some of its multiplayer maps will be remastered BO2 maps.
However, the most intriguing element of this supposed leak is the fact that there are “plans for multiplayer progression to carry over from Black Ops 6.”
Should that come to fruition, it would represent a major shift for the franchise. Previously, in Modern Warfare 3, there was a “Carry Forward” initiative that let players bring weapons and cosmetic content from Modern Warfare 2 into the next title, though there were some caveats.
Other Noteworthy Tidbits
Beyond the multiplayer details, the Reddit post did also note that the story would have a “big open world map.” Additionally, multiplayer would have a 32v32 mode, and while Omnimovement will return, the game will also allow for wall running,
Whether this leak ultimately proves to be true remains to be seen, but it does represent another potential large info dump for a game that is still months away.
