Sony has confirmed the next batch of games set to exit the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs in July 2025. A total of six games will be removed from PS Plus in the middle of July, including a couple of substantially popular titles.
In comparison to recent months, July’s PS Plus rotation is relatively minor in quantity. Back in May, PS Plus lost a staggering 22 games in a single wave, followed by six in June. While the number of departures each month isn’t set in stone, a lighter rotation is generally welcomed by players looking to get the most out of their PS Plus subscriptions. The Last Chance to Play section on the PlayStation Store is typically where such updates are flagged ahead of time, giving PS Plus members a few weeks’ notice to get their playthroughs sorted.
PS Plus added nine new games today, and alongside them comes the six-strong list of titles that will leave the service on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. These six games are Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion, Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Remnant 2, Job Simulator, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, and Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong. Among them, Dying Light 2 will be a fairly notable loss for PS Plus in July, as the 2022 open-world action RPG garnered favor with players for its excellent combat and parkour-based traversal. The widespread praise translated into commercial success, with Dying Light 2 selling 5 million copies within its first month of launch and possibly even having doubled that number by now.
PS Plus Games Leaving in July 2025
- Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion
- Dying Light 2: Stay Human
- Job Simulator
- Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord
- Remnant 2
- Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion is another big departure for PS Plus next month, particularly for fans of JRPGs. The 2022 remaster of the iconic PSP spinoff of Final Fantasy 7 delivers a refreshed take on the story of Zack Fair and was praised for its updated combat system and cinematic flair. The third RPG to leave PS Plus in July 2025 is 2022’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong, which brings narrative-driven choices in an intriguingly gloomy setting. Fans of looter-shooters and co-op gameplay should try out Remnant 2 before it’s gone, and PS VR2 headset owners looking for a fun romp can check out Job Simulator.
Those looking to play and beat all the aforementioned games will likely spend around 70 hours when sticking to the main objectives, which isn’t too bad for six titles combined and a full month’s worth of notice. The PS Plus Extra and Premium games for July 2025 have yet to be revealed in full, but PlayStation’s recent State of Play livestream confirmed that Twisted Metal 3 and Twisted Metal 4 will join the classics catalog next month, with Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 also headed for the service sometime this summer.
