Palworld’s collaboration with Terraria will be released in Summer 2025.

Palworld has officially unveiled its Terraria crossover, the Tides of Terraria update. Pocket Pair has kept busy over the last few months, releasing several patches and content updates for its flagship game as it gets closer to breaking out of early access. Another big one is coming this summer when the worlds of Palworld and Terraria collide.
Pocket Pair first announced that Palworld would collaborate with Terraria and other games when it revealed its early access roadmap in January 2025. At that point, the studio gave no further details on the crossover, only telling fans that there would be a collaboration sometime in the future. While some specifics are still unclear, Palworld players just got another look at the upcoming update that offers some more information.
The official Palworld Twitter account announced Tides of Terraria on May 12, revealing a 25% Steam discount to coincide with the reveal, which will last until May 19. According to the post, the update will bring new content, Pals, islands, and more, so it seems like there’s a lot to look forward to when it drops later this summer. There have already been several big changes to the game lately, and Pocket Pair has confirmed that several recent Palworld updates were in response to Nintendo’s lawsuit against the game. Some of those involved removing features, so any additional content in Tides of Terraria and beyond is a welcome shift.
Palworld’s Tides of Terraria Update Introduces New Pals and Islands This Summer
There’s still no release date, but narrowing the window to Summer 2025 does give fans a more specific idea of when to expect it. Likewise, what exactly the Terraria content includes is a little unclear for now. Palworld‘s Steam page mentions that players will be able to “catch, train, fight, and work” creatures from Terraria just like the game’s original Pals. It also refers to the update as Version 0.6, which seemingly confirms that Tides of Terraria will be part of the game’s ongoing update roadmap, not paid DLC, which is good news for Palworld‘s 32 million-plus players who’ve flocked to the title since its 2024 release.
Palworld fans have plenty of other future updates to get excited about, too. Pocket Pair has even announced a bizarre Palworld dating sim, but some think it’s just a joke, as the company first announced it as an April Fool’s Day prank in 2024 before listing it again in March of this year. The Steam listing is still up, though, albeit with no release date, so it’s uncertain if it’ll be a real thing. Regardless, Palworld has several updates and other crossovers in line for 2025 to get ready for.
