PS Plus Extra subscribers can expect FBC: Firebreak on June 17.

PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers can circle June 17 on their calendars, as that’s the day FBC: Firebreak will hit the service. PlayStation Plus Extra is the middle tier of Sony‘s PlayStation Plus subscription service. With a PS Plus Extra subscription, subscribers guarantee access to everything available through PS Plus Essential, as well as a rotating selection of PS4 and PS5 games.

The monthly free PS Plus games and online multiplayer are the main reasons to sign up for PS Plus Essential, while those wanting instant access to a larger selection of games will want to sign up for PS Plus Extra. The majority of games available through PS Plus Extra are older titles, but day one games are added to the service on occasion.

It seems the next time that a day one game will be added to PS Plus Extra is on June 17 when FBC: Firebreak makes its debut. For the uninitiated, FBC: Firebreak is a new first-person shooter co-op game from Remedy Entertainment. The game is set after the events of Control and has players battling enemies in the Oldest House. Remedy’s track record speaks for itself, and so PS Plus Extra subscribers should definitely be excited for June 17.

FBC: Firebreak is Coming to PS Plus Extra on June 17

FBC: Firebreak isn’t the only day one PS Plus Extra game for 2025. Both parts of Lost Records: Bloom & Rage were added to PS Plus Extra on day one, and so too was Blue PrinceBlue Prince is a critically-acclaimed first-person puzzle game and one of the highest-rated new game releases of the year. It made a great addition to the PS Plus Extra lineup, and so here’s hoping FBC: Firebreak keeps the PS Plus Extra momentum going strong.

At least one other game will be joining FBC: Firebreak as part of the day one PS Plus Extra lineup this summer. Abiotic Factor is coming to PS Plus Extra on the day of its release, though a specific date still has not been announced at the time of this writing. With summer right around the corner, chances are good that a specific date for Abiotic Factor‘s PS Plus Extra debut will come sooner rather than later.

Note:

FBC: Firebreak will also be a day one Xbox Game Pass game when it releases on June 17.

It’s worth mentioning that PS Plus Premium subscribers will also get access to FBC: Firebreak and all the other day one PS Plus Extra games. PS Plus Premium is the highest-tier of the service and includes everything in the Essential and Extra tiers along with Premium-exclusive retro games.
