Five games leaving Xbox Game Pass on May 15 include Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and Chants of Sennaar.

Five games are set to leave the Xbox Game Pass subscription service on Thursday, May 15. The Xbox Game Pass library is updated every single month, with new games added to the service and existing titles removed. While it’s always sad to see games removed from the Xbox Game Pass lineup, there is at least some good news when it comes to the May 15 departures.
Originally, the Xbox Game Pass Leaving Soon section led fans to believe that eight titles were getting the boot on May 15. It was originally reported that Xbox Game Pass was going to lose Jurassic World Evolution 2, Little Kitty, Big City, and Planet of Lana along with the titles that are actually leaving on May 15, but those games will be staying a little longer. Game Pass subscribers interested in playing those titles can breathe a sigh of relief, as they will have more time than expected to do so.
However, there are still five games that are scheduled to leave Xbox Game Pass on Thursday, May 15. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Chants of Sennaar, Dune: Spice Wars, Hauntii, and The Big Con are all going to be removed that day. Out of these titles, I recommend Game Pass subscribers prioritize Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. It’s a short game, and it’s an excellent, emotional adventure from the mind of Josef Fares. Fares, for the uninitiated, is the award-winning developer that has made classic co-op games like A Way Out, It Takes Two, and most recently, Split Fiction.
Xbox Game Pass Games Leaving Soon
Of course, Game Pass subscribers are encouraged to try all five games before they’re removed. While there may not be enough time to play through them in their entirety before they’re axed from Game Pass, at least subscribers can try before they buy. And not only that, but if they do decide any of the departing games, they can do so at a discount. Games can be purchased for 20% off while they’re on Game Pass, so those interested should act fast.
It’s sad to see these games removed from Game Pass, but there are plenty of new titles to play in the meantime. Xbox Game Pass had a ridiculous hot streak in April 2025, with the service enjoying potential Game of the Year contenders like Blue Prince and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 alongside other exciting additions like Grand Theft Auto 5 and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered shadow drop. Looking ahead, Doom: The Dark Ages is coming to Game Pass Ultimate on May 15, so that should ease the pain of the departures.
